‘RHOSLC:’ Jen Shah Claims A Co-Star Called Her Son The N-Word

“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah recently took to her Instagram to reveal that one of her co-stars made racial slurs against her and her family. While he did not specifically mention the individual, he did share details of the alleged individual’s comments.

According to her, the co-star called her son the N-word and then asked to touch her hair after he compared her to Moana. Shah also added that the co-star contributed to Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign “4 times.”

Shah shares two sons, Omar and Sheriff Jnr, with husband Sharrief Shah. Her co-stars include Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose.

There is big drama on the “Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City” show. Shah, who shares two sons with her husband Sharrief, took to her Instagram story to accuse one of her co-stars of calling her son the N-Word.

The IG story, titled “Let’s Play…Who did that?! #RHOSLC Edition,” featured various hints about the co-stars. Shah noted that the co-star donated to Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign “4 times” and asked to touch her hair after comparing the reality star to the Disney character Moana.

According to Shah, the person said, “there are ‘different kinds of black people… For example,’ a black person from Compton is different than a black person from Salt Lake City (note…my husband is from Compton).”

The co-star also stated, according to the reality star, “not to be racist or anything, but I like big black ones best,'” possibly referring to stereotypes surrounding Black male genitalia.

‘RHOSLC’ Has Been Riddled With Controversy

Shah’s outburst comes months after Jennie Nguyen, co-star of “RHOSLC,” was fired based on her racially insensitive posts, which mostly belittled Black Lives Matter protests, especially after the death of George Floyd.

“Bravo has stopped filming with Jennie Nguyen, and she will no longer be a cast member on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Bravo said of her departure. “We realized we failed to take appropriate action once his offending social media posts came to our attention.”

They continued, “Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make more informed and smarter casting decisions.”

Although Nguyen apologized for his post, Shah apologized, labeling it dishonest.

He also seemed disappointed with the apology adding per E! News“It’s upsetting to see him liking and reposting comments that make fun of and show complete indifference to those who were killed.”

Gen Shah Faces Criminal Charges

Shah recently pleaded guilty to “wire fraud,” stating that his marketing company actually offered “a service of little or no value.”

The reality star’s guilty plea helped him avoid being charged with money laundering, which would have brought him more prison time.

According to reports, production for the show’s third season wrapped earlier this summer. However, Shah’s courtroom drama is reportedly not part of the shoot but his legal battle and history will still be a major part of the reality show’s plot for the latest season.

“There are no cameras in the courtroom,” the source told E! News, “but the production made a confession about the reaction of the women who will probably be part of the third season.” They continued, “There’s no way of knowing what’s going to happen, but the show has technically wrapped it, and it’s not part of the production cycle.”
