House Minority Whip Katherine Clark’s daughter Riley Dowell was arrested in Boston. They were charged with spray painting anti-police graffiti and assaulting a police officer. Police allege that Riley Dowell was seen painting “NO COP CITY” and “ACAB,” which means “All cops are bastards,” on the Parkman Bandstand Monument on the Boston Common.
Police identified Dowell as “Jared Dowell” and said he is non-binary. They were arrested for vandalism when “a group of about 20 protesters surrounded” the arresting police.
Allegedly blocking traffic and shouting obscenities from megaphones on the road, the protesters surrounded the arresting police. One officer was wounded in the face and bleeding from the mouth and nose at one point during the tense standoff, according to Boston police. Riley was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, injury or destruction of personal property, and graffiti tagging or damage to property.
