In a recent heart-to-heart with “Glamour UK” for the magazine’s cover story, the “Soul Survivor” singer opened up about her relationship with the Hollywood icon. The chart’s owner, who declined to reveal the couple’s wedding date, admitted the couple had no official proposal.
“Honestly, no one really took a knee. It was more like, ‘I want to marry you. Let’s do it,’” the entertainer explained, noting that he loved the couple’s decision to skip the engagement phase.
Despite being famous for singing thousands of people at his concerts, the Bambi Award winner admits he doesn’t like to have lavish weddings. Sharing his thoughts on the matter, the 32-year-old stated:
“Some women like to feel real special attention that day. And everyone is different. And for me – I think with my job, it’s all… it’s very attention-driven – I want to keep it private because my life and my career don’t.”
Because the English songwriter wanted a low-key ceremony, her preparations for the wedding were tied to two important factors — her career and Waititi’s two daughters from a previous marriage.
Speaking about their importance to the ceremony, the entertainer said: “The wedding is planned in two to three days, when I’m out of cycle, that’s what I call it when I’m not in album cycle mode. And her kids are there, and I really want them to be a part of it.”
The MOBO Awardee continued, “It was either then or we had to wait ages. I don’t want to do it without my stepson there. So, we just thought about it, and we did it. And it was perfect.”

According to Ora, she never forgot the white lace gown and veil ensemble she saw at the 2018 Ford fashion show. As fate would have it, the same outfit was present when she was shopping for her wedding dress.
“I went to the Tom Ford store to see if they had wedding dresses. And they have this one wedding dress. So weird. I’m not even kidding; it’s on my mood board. I’m not crazy,” exclaimed the entertainer. “But it was the only dress I wanted, and it was there, ready. And it is installed. It was meant to be.”
Apart from the founder of the luxury brand, the “You Only Love Me” singer admitted that none of her friends knew about her marriage to Waititi. The 32-year-old told his friends after the ceremony. However, no one seemed surprised by the result.
“Nobody knows. No one was surprised. They were like, ‘I’m so happy for you. And when can we throw a big tantrum?’” explained the caramel-colored beauty. Regarding the possibility of a second wedding ceremony, the recipient of the Glamor Award has no specific plans.

“Maybe this year. We didn’t even think about it,” admitted the chart-topper. “But when we throw it away, it will be old news. My friends don’t care anymore.”
