During her stint on Bigg Boss 14, Rakhi once revealed that Ritesh is married to a woman and has a child with her. However, he didn’t realize it until he tied the knot with her.
Ritesh had a court wedding with Rakhi on 20 July 2019. Later, the two had a traditional wedding at the JW Marriott in Mumbai. Before this, there were speculations about their marriage. However, Ritesh’s entry into the Bigg Boss 15 house, gave the whole rumor away.

Ritesh-Rakhi Love Story
While inside the Bigg Boss 15 house, Ritesh revealed that he initially chatted with Rakhi on Whatsapp. He shared that he was organizing some event in Mumbai when his PA gave him a Rakhi number. He said,
Some things were not going well in my life and I was depressed. I want to talk to someone who is not from my profession or known. I sent him a ‘Hi’ and he blocked me.”
He further said that a few days later, he again texted Rakhi from another number and at that time she replied. To this, Rakhi adds,
I was depressed at that time. I have a boyfriend, who I learned is a don. He is a loan shark and I fear for my life. So I asked him for help and wanted to get married.”
Ritesh also revealed that he once sent his friend a proposal to Rakhi. While sharing the details of the same, he said,
I told him not to accept it, otherwise he would lose his job.”
The two then become friends and slowly fall in love with each other. They tied the knot on July 20, 2019.

I thought it was wrong and wrong of me and my self-important nature that I kept my identity a secret. I always had a fear that after revealing my relationship and identity in front of everyone because of a bad joke, my part could be affected. This is my self-importance.”

I had two-three defense projects in the past and I couldn’t reveal my identity. It will hit me hard. We got married out of the blue, we met, loved each other and got married. We didn’t plan anything. Now, I am ready and can tell the world openly that Rakhi Sawant is my wife. I think nothing is more important to me than Rakhi at this point. Therefore, I am ready to take this risk.”
- In an interview, when asked about his willingness to have a child with Rakhi, Ritesh said,
Yes, next year we plan to have a baby. This year because of COVID we couldn’t meet. But next year we are thinking of taking our relationship a step further.”

I don’t care about your makeup, I’m in love with your letter not a letter.”
