Robert De Niro announced the birth of his seventh child. The actor revealed when asked how it feels to be a father of six children in an interview. He also shared that he wouldn’t consider himself a “cool dad” but is very open with his kids.
While the identity of the mother of his new baby is still under wraps, the actor’s rumored girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, was recently spotted with him, sporting a baby bump.
De Niro and Chen were first linked romantically in 2021 when they celebrated his birthday together. He has two children, one each with ex-wives Diahnne Abbott and Grace Hightower, and twins with ex-partner Toukie Smith.

In an interview with ET Canada for his upcoming film “About My Father,” Robert De Niro was asked about his father’s experiences.
The Hollywood veteran was asked what his love language is as a father, saying that he believes in loving his children openly but knows he sometimes has to be “firm about things.”
He went on to say, “There’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like having to lay down laws and such. But, [sometimes] you have no choice. And any parent, I think, would say the same. You always want to do the right thing by kids and give them the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you just can’t.”
Later in the interview, De Niro dropped the shocking news that he had welcomed another child after being asked about his “six children.” The actor corrected the interviewer by saying, “Seven.” She then casually stated that she “just had a baby.”

De Niro went on to share with the news outlet that he never considered himself a “cool dad.” This is quite the opposite of the description painted in the actor’s film, “About My Father,” where he is described as a “cold father” by his film son, played by Sebastian Maniscalco.
As for his chill with his kids, De Niro shared that he’s “okay.” He said, “You know, my kids sometimes disagree with me, and they respect that. My daughter, who is 11 years old, sometimes gives me grief, and I argue with her. I adore him, but, you know. And my youngest now, that will come again. But that’s the truth.”
The Mother of the New Baby is Still Unidentified

Although it has been confirmed that the actor has indeed welcomed a seventh child, the identity of the mother is still unknown, and although De Niro does not know who she is, it is most likely the actor’s girlfriend, Tiffany Chen.
De Niro and Chen were seen on a date at Giorgio Baldi’s Santa Monica restaurant with Billy Crystal and Harvey Keitel in March. Pictures of the couple leaving the restaurant show the film’s producer, Chen, showing off her baby bump.
De Niro and Chen were first romantically linked when they were photographed celebrating his 78th birthday in 2021. They previously worked together in De Niro’s film, “The Intern,” in 2015 and have taken several trips together since they started dating , like France and Spain on holiday.

De Niro also has two children, Elliot and Helen, with his ex-wife of 20 years, Grace Hightower. They first married in 1997 and separated two years later before reuniting and renewing their vows in 2004. However, in 2018 De Niro officially filed for divorce, leading to a messy custody battle.
The former couple’s fight was over sharing money and property and how much Hightower should be paid from De Niro. According to Daily Mailin April, a judge ruled that Hightower owed $1 million annually and a share of the proceeds from the sale of their $20 million property.
