Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Files Restraining Order Against Stalker After Home Break-in

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has filed a restraining order against a male stalker who recently broke into the home he shares with his wife, Cheryl Hines.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the politician filed a request for a protective order in LA County Court after the traumatic experience of an intruder gaining access to his home in Los Angeles.

In the filing, Kennedy Jr. sought a Civil Disruption Restraining Order that included his famous wife, Cheryl Hines. Obviously, he asked the person to stay away from his house, his wife, and their possessions. This is an important step, giving the police the ability to arrest the person if he is close to their home.

As we reported, the male stalker, whose name we have not released, tried to break into the couple’s home in Los Angeles. Police received a call about a burglary on a Brentwood property two weeks ago.

Hines confirmed he was home at the time of the incident and noticed the man was in his yard. It is unclear whether her famous husband was also at home during the invasion. However, things did not escalate when Kennedy’s security team jumped to the rescue.

During the struggle, they were able to subdue the individual until the police arrived and arrested him. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there as the male intruder returned to the property for a second time the following day. Law enforcement was called to the home the next morning around 1:30am

This time the intruder was arrested again for violating a court order. That’s because the police may issue a criminal protection order after the first arrest, preventing the individual from approaching the property. In most cases, they advise celebrities to get a permanent restraining order from a judge.

However, since the first arrest did not stop the male stalker, it seems that Kennedy Jr. decided to take a more serious path and filed for a civil restraining order to protect him and his family in the future.

The timing of the home invasion must have brought concern as Kennedy Jr. recently announced his candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Election. He announced that he will run as an Independent, ending his Democratic primary campaign.
