Rockland County family of four found dead in possible murder-suicide

A family of four was found dead in a Rockland County home early Saturday in what police believe may have been a triple murder-suicide.

The four people — an adult man, an adult woman, and two boys — were found at the New City home around 12:20 a.m. while authorities responded to the address for a welfare check, NBC New York reported.

The victim — who has not been publicly identified — appears to have died of a gunshot wound, the Clarkstown Police Department told the outlet.

The father “appears to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” authorities told the outlet.

The juvenile male victims were reported to be 10 and 12 years old.

The Clarkstown Police Department declined to comment to The Post Saturday afternoon.
