Rumer Willis is enjoying being a mom, and introducing her daughter to her lavish lifestyle!
Rumer, who is the eldest child of veteran actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, welcomed her only daughter, Louetta, on April 18, 2023, with her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.
Since the birth of baby Lou, the doting mum has been sharing glimpses of the little one on social media, including her latest update, highlighting their first “solo trip” together.

She took a mirror selfie showing her with Lou in a black and white patterned baby carrier hugging her chest. The cast of “The House Bunny” stood next to their luggage, which included a large orange bag and a brown diaper bag placed on top.
As for her outfit, she wore loose nude pants with an orange hem, a long-sleeved brown Jenni Kayne cardigan that reached her hips, and matching orange slides with her phone case.
Rumer also carried a black and white patterned handbag to match her baby carrier as she styled her bleached blonde curls in a low bun away from her face. “First Mom and Daughter’s Solo Trip,” she declared on the post, making sure to tag the brand behind her clothes and luggage.
The mother-daughter duo’s solo trip comes less than a month after Rumer gave fans a glimpse into the interesting story behind Louetta’s unique name. Speaking in an interview, she admitted that she and her baby daddy never intended to name their daughter Louetta. However, the universe has its own plans.
The “Hostage” actress shared, “We thought of Loretta’s name, and it was a typo. Her dad and I were texting, and she left the ‘R’ out of Loretta, and it was just Louetta.”
She didn’t correct Thomas then but went with the flow, believing it was “one of those moments of divine intervention,” which the couple eventually managed to resolve early in her pregnancy. Even so, Rumer was worried about their naming decision, worried it wouldn’t fit their daughter’s appearance. Remembering the problem, he said:
“What’s scary is, I love this name, but oh man, is it going to be her name? Is it the right name? What if she comes out and doesn’t look like this?”

Ultimately, the “Sorority Row” star didn’t realize any other name than “Lou” would be appropriate even though she had given birth to a son, as she explained:
“I fell in love with the name, from the very beginning, I was worried it wouldn’t work. But then she came out, and I mean, for me, at least now, I’m going to name her Lou, whether she’s a boy or a girl.”
Plus, the moniker gives the little one options for future nicknames, according to Rumer, who mentions that she and her partner like the “flexibility.” “I wanted to find something that had a lot of versatility,” he insists. “If he doesn’t feel like Louetta, he can go with Lou; he can go with Etta.”
The “Now and Then” actress added that the baby can “turn her” into whatever she wants as she grows up.
‘Striptease’ Star Hates Instagram Fans On Her 35th Birthday Pic
The touching mother-daughter journey comes after Rumer slammed her critics. Last month, Rumer celebrated her 35th birthday on Instagram with a topless photo of herself breastfeeding her daughter, causing mixed reactions from both fans and critics.
“This is 35,” she captioned the post. “It’s ridiculous to get sunburned and feed my Lou.” She then recounted her pregnancy journey, beginning with the memory of finding out she was with a child on her last birthday.
More than 70k Instagram users liked the touching post, while several people took part in the comments, including one critic who asked the celebrity “why” she made the post.

The “Chicago” actor immediately slammed the user, stating that although he doesn’t care about their opinion, he “truly” feels sorry for them for portraying how they value themselves and other women with the question.
She also stressed that being a mother and breastfeeding is a privilege she does not take for granted but aims to celebrate “every moment of this journey.”
