Russell Brand has asked fans to turn their moral support into financial support as he feels the pressure after being accused of raping and sexually assaulting four women, including a 16-year-old.
The scandal-plagued actor, 48, is urging his followers to shell out $60 a year to become paid subscribers on Rumble — a video app that rivals YouTube, and is clearly committed to free speech.
The cheeky request comes just hours after London’s Metropolitan Police force launched a full-scale investigation into “several allegations of sexual misconduct” against Brand, which he has vehemently denied.
But the comedian claimed it was nothing more than a conspiracy to silence him and “the voice of the independent media.”
“You now know that I’ve been debited on YouTube,” he said on Monday night’s Rumble, referring to the platform suspending his ability to earn cash following the allegations against him. “Fully aware that the government wrote to social media platforms to demand that I be censored further.”

“The global media war against free speech is raging, how do I know? Guess what,” he continued.
“Today, of course, we are talking about the events of the past week but, in particular, the collusion between big tech and government and the apparent concerted effort by legacy and now state media and big tech to silence the voice of independent media.”
“Obviously, it’s hard for me to be completely objective given the events of the past week but that’s what we’re going to try to do,” added the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star.

“What we see here is a set of cooperating institutions that have an agenda, and are pursuing that agenda, even if in doing so they have to circumvent, obstruct, or completely ignore existing judicial or regulatory bodies by moving directly to punish. steps,” he shared.
On Monday, Scotland Yard — which houses the Metropolitan Police — announced that it had launched a police investigation into the allegations made against Brand in London, as well as across the UK.
The Met Police said all the allegations were not recent, and Brand – who maintains his innocence – has not been charged with anything.

“Following investigations by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Sunday Times, the Met has received a number of allegations of sexual offenses in London,” the police force said in a statement to The Post.
“We have also received several allegations of sexual offenses committed elsewhere in the country and will investigate these matters.”
The Post has reached out to Brand’s representatives for comment.
