On Tuesday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins will be replaced by Bianca Cline, who worked on the critically acclaimed “Marcel the Shell With Shoes On.” Melina Spadone, an attorney for Rust Movie Productions, told THR that the scene where Halyna Hutchins was shot was rewritten but would not elaborate.

According to Rust Movie Productions, Cline will donate his salary to charity. Matthew Hutchins, Halyna’s husband, reportedly gave Cline his “blessing and support” to pursue the position. Matthew will also serve as an executive producer on the film, as part of a wrongful death lawsuit that was settled last October.

In a statement, Matthew Hutchins said, “We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of Rust, including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC. As part of that settlement, our case will be dismissed.”

“Rust, which I will now executive produce, will resume filming with all the original principal players in January 2023,” he continued.

“I’m not interested in getting involved in accusations or accusations of blame (on the publisher or Mr. Baldwin),” Hutchins added. “We all believe that Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.”

Director Joel Souza To Resume Filming ‘Rust’ This Spring

Police in the US have released video footage from the set of the movie Rust, including the fatal shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin. Halyna Hutchins, 42, was shot by Mr Baldwin as she trained with what she believed to be a firearm. The footage, which has no audio, was released showing Baldwin dressed as a cowboy practicing with a gun before the fatal shooting. He can be seen in stills from the video posing with a gun, and with bullets/bullets on his costume in a scene set in a church. A clapboard with Ms. Hutchins' name can also be seen. It is not known if the gun he was holding was the one that fired the fatal bullet. The actor, who is also the film's producer, previously said he did not draw attention and did not know how live bullets appeared on set near Santa Fe in the US state of New Mexico. The Santa Fe County sheriff's office released a batch of documents released for the investigation this week. 26 Apr 2022 Pictured: Alec Baldwin seen in stills from Rust training video footage released by US investigators. Souza will return to his role as director when filming resumes.

“Those of us who were lucky enough to have spent time with Halyna know her as a very talented, kind, creative person and an incredible source of positive energy,” said Souza. “I just hope the world gets to know him in a different light, as it certainly will through his amazing work.”

“In my own attempt to heal, any decision to return to finish directing the film could only make sense to me if it was done with the involvement of Matt and the Hutchins family,” he continued. “Although it must be bittersweet, I am happy that together, we will now complete what Halyna and I started. All my efforts in this film will be focused on honoring Halyna’s legacy and making her proud. It was a privilege to see this on his behalf.”
