Saloni Gaur (better known as Salonayyy) was born on Sunday, 12 December 1999 (age 23 years; in 2022) in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He studied at Renaissance School, Bulanshahr. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in political science and economics at Janki Devi Memorial College affiliated to the University of Delhi from 2017 to 2020. During his school years, he first participated in the program as a stand-up comedian and later to be a comedian and actor.

Standup Comedian

He started competing in stand-up comedy shows while studying in college and participated in his first competition show at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. He later won awards at many competitions as a stand-up comedian.

Impressionist

In 2017, he started impersonating different characters inspired by real life and making videos about social issues. Her first character is Pinky Dogra, and she often posts videos on Snapchat and Instagram. He later developed two other characters named Kumkum and Asha Behenji. In 2019, she made a character named Nazma Aapi which went viral. She made videos on CAA, NEET, Arnab Goswami vs. Sonia Gandhi, and other issues with her character Nazma Aapi.

He has also impersonated many Bollywood celebrities such as Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan, and Sonam Kapoor. In an interview in 2021, he revealed that he had experimented with 11 fictional characters. As of October 2023, her YouTube channel Salonayyy has more than 5 million subscribers and her videos have been viewed more than 3 billion times.
