Actor Sam Asghari is seeking spousal support from Britney Spears in his divorce filing.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the Iranian actress called off their 14-month marriage, listing their separation date as July 28, 2023.

On Wednesday, August 16, Sam Asghari and Britney Spears started trending on social media amid news that they were breaking up. Just a few hours later, news broke that the two were officially gone when the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress filed for divorce. Sam cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split and demanded both spousal support and attorney’s fees.
The former personal trainer, represented by lawyer Neal Hersh, appears set to contest the prenup created with the help of Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, before the two officially tie the knot in June 2022 after six years of dating.

It seems Sam believes them, however, as he seems determined to try to renegotiate the prenup. On Wednesday night, a source told Page Six that the 29-year-old actress was reportedly “trying to negotiate concessions outside of her prenup and threatening to reveal very embarrassing information about Britney unless she was paid.”
They said that Sam is “focused” on getting a “paycheck,” though a separate source confirmed to Page Six that “Britney and Sam signed a prenuptial agreement in her favor,” adding, “Any money she makes before the wedding is protected.” The outlet later confirmed that Britney had hired high-powered divorce attorney Laura Wasser to represent her and protect her assets amid the split.

It seems unlikely that a judge will overturn the prenup, but it’s possible that Britney will agree to a settlement just to put the matter behind her. Earlier this summer, she shared some photos of her vacation in Mexico. One featured her riding a horse in a yellow bikini top and black shorts.
That’s the photo Britney shared on Instagram shortly after news of her divorce broke; however, he seemed unconcerned with the split. “Buy a horse soon ? !!! Too many choices is a bit overwhelming!!! A horse named Sophie and another named Roar ? ??? I can’t decide ? !!!” she wrote in the caption. “Should I join the fellowship and wear a pink cowboy hat ? ??? Britney may seem unconcerned with his cheating allegations because she knows he is innocent. A source told ET on Wednesday night that Britney “insists she’s not cheating,” adding, “The two didn’t get along for a while and it ended after a big blowup.”
“He has denied any allegations of cheating and is going through a lot of emotions,” the source told the outlet. “He was hurt because the situation brought up old feelings towards him. This was the last thing she needed, especially after her son moved to Hawaii, worried about the fires there, and so on.”
On August 1, her ex-husband Kevin Federline moved her two teenage sons, Sean Preston Federline, 17, and Jayden James Federline, 16, to Hawaii. Luckily, they don’t live on Maui and are reportedly safe from the wildfires that are ravaging the island.
