It seems actor Sam Asghari is still struggling to find his big break in Hollywood.
Earlier this year, he finished filming a small role in the Paramount+ series “Special Ops: Lioness.” However, the red carpet event was canceled due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which is still ongoing amid his divorce from 41-year-old pop star Britney Spears.
Although the 29-year-old actor is still looking for his big break, sources confirmed that he is “out of work” due to the ongoing strike.

On Tuesday, Aug. 29, an insider told Page Six that the former personal trainer is “unemployed” and “still looking for her big break” amid the divorce and SAG-AFTRA strike.
“He’s unemployed,” the insider said. “He doesn’t have any acting gigs lined up at the moment.” They noted that his only upcoming project, “Grand Death Lotto,” directed by Paul Feig, finished filming a few weeks before the strike began.
Just a day earlier, sources told TMZ that the former personal trainer has no plans to continue working at Royal Personal Training in Los Angeles, where he worked when he was cast in the pop star’s “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. He began dating Britney not long after that.
An insider told the outlet on Monday that she wants to continue her career as a character actor and may even land some TV hosting jobs as well. Unfortunately, with the writers’ strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike, not much is happening at the moment and it’s unclear what he plans to do until the strike ends.

It looks like Sam won’t have to worry about money for a little while longer, as the “Toxic” singer is actually paying her rent. On Tuesday, August 22, a source told Page Six that the actor has moved into the Ten Thousand building in Los Angeles. The 40-story building contains 283 units and amenities such as lap pools, private gardens and private doctors who provide services ranging from treating colds to providing Botox injections.
Rents range from $10,000 to $65,000 a month, but TMZ reports that Sam has actually managed to get an upgraded apartment at the price of a standard unit. They also confirmed that it was indeed Britney who was paying $10,000 a month for her rent in the middle of the divorce.

On August 16, Sam officially filed for divorce according to court documents obtained by The Blast, but recorded the separation date as July 28, 2023, so it appears they were already living apart before the divorce. In the court filing, he also asked for spousal support and attorney fees. He also looks ready to compete prenup.
In the divorce filing, Sam wrote: “The applicant has not yet determined the nature and full extent of the separate property assets and liabilities of each party. There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the nature and full extent of which are currently unknown to the Petitioner.”

Hours after she filed for divorce, a source told Page Six that the actress “tried to negotiate concessions outside of her prenup and threatened to reveal very embarrassing information about Britney unless she was paid.”
The next day, the actor’s representative, Brandon Cohen, told The Hollywood Reporter that Sam had no intention of challenging the prenup. “There have been numerous allegations that Sam challenged the prenup and threatened to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” his rep told THR. “However, all these allegations are false, as no negative intentions have ever been directed at him and will never happen. Sam has always and will always support him.”

TMZ has since reported that the actress will get “no payment” from the divorce and that the prenup prevents her from getting spousal support, even though she asked for it in the divorce filing. He still gets to keep his car collection and any gifts Britney gave him during the divorce.
Last week, the couple also settled a custody dispute over their five dogs. A day later, Britney announced that she had adopted a new puppy named Snow.
