Actor Samuel L. Jackson and his partner, director LaTanya Richardson Jackson, allegedly got into an argument while out on Monday night.
The pair made an appearance at a Theater Communications Group gala held in their honor but spent part of the event bickering in the press room.
Samuel ended up not staying until the end of the event, leaving his wife to accept the award for both of them. LaTanya then explained that Samuel left because of the COVID-19 concern.

A source told the publication that the celebrity couple got into a fight in the press room at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown. However, it is not clear what they are arguing about.
Another source shared that Samuel looked “upset,” suggesting that a heated conversation with his wife had put him in a bad mood.
“They appeared to be fighting when they arrived. They pose together, and then fight [went on],” said an insider who attended the evening’s event.
The “Pulp Fiction” star abruptly left the rally, presumably to go home, but an event organizer said he never intended to stay that long. LaTanya ended up receiving just that honor from former Miss America Vanessa Williams.

Source, through Page Sixlater revealed that LaTanya offered an explanation for Samuel’s absence, saying that “her husband left the event due to COVID-19 concerns.”
A representative for the gala also echoed the same sentiment shared by the female director about her husband leaving the gathering.
“As the top star of ‘The Piano Lesson,’ Mr. Jackson is very cautious about the risk of putting the production in jeopardy by exposing himself to COVID-19,” the rep explained, noting the Avenger star’s involvement in the Broadway revival of August Wilson’s “The Piano Lesson .”
The rep added, “Ms. Jackson accepted on behalf of her and her husband solely to minimize the risk of exposure. Mr. Jackson only ever planned to do the photo shoot and then leave, as everyone involved with planning the event knew in advance.”
