Sarah Ferguson is reminiscing about her fairytale wedding to ex-husband Prince Andrew, who she was married to for a decade.
Fergie tied the knot with the duke in 1986, and their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, before their divorce in 1996.
Although the former couple was only married for a decade, they had the most magical wedding ceremony, which the British author recently recalled, emphasizing his “Cinderella” moment.

In the latest episode of Sarah’s “Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah” podcast, she goes back in time with memorable moments from her wedding to Prince Andrew. He continued, “I don’t really milk cows on the farm; it’s a very beautiful life that I have, but my father is still farming.” Fergie went on to share how excited she was on that special day when she saw her “handsome prince”.
The duchess sweetly recalled, “I went, went up to Westminster Abbey, and at the end there was a handsome prince in his full navy suit, and the country stopped. Westminster Abbey is just buzzing with belief.”
The “Finding Sarah” star admitted to her co-host, Sarah Thomson, that she was nervous at the time, “like every bride” but had no explanation. However, he remembers coming down the stairs from Clarence House, where he spent the night last night, and everyone chanting his name, “’Fergie! Fergie!” on the street.
When he reached the bottom of the stairs, his father, Ronald Ferguson, the long-time polo manager for the late Prince Philip and King Charles before his death, was there to meet him, and they both went to the convent.
Recalling more fond memories from her wedding day, Sarah said, “It was one of those moments – I was watching ‘Cinderella’ with the girls the other day, ‘Ella Enchanted.’ I did that! I had that time, and dad was below.
He also remembered being their glass coach with his father and didn’t know what to do next. Nevertheless, they went to the monastery and carried on. “The Young Victoria” producer recalled the moment fondly, adding, “I was totally in love with my handsome prince, so there was that.”
Fergie has been separated from the “handsome prince” for almost three decades, but they have a good relationship and live together in their Royal Lodge home.
They were almost kicked out of the property a few months ago by Prince Andrew’s brother King Charles as part of a plan for the reign. However, sources claim the couple were saved thanks to the 63-year-old podcaster’s recovery from a mastectomy almost eight hours after her cancer diagnosis.

The luxury residence near Windsor Castle, outside London, houses 30 rooms and has been the home of former partners since 2003, when Prince Andrew signed a 74-year lease. The lease implies that the two have more years at the property.
Despite this, the king tried to move them to Frogmore Cottage to cut costs because his younger brother could not afford the rent and maintenance of the house. Fans will recall that Prince Andrew lost his official job due to his relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and reportedly went bankrupt after paying millions to Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual assault.
‘Storytime With Fergie And Friends’ Star Shares How Much She Loves Her Grandma’s Job
Fergie’s look back at her fairytale wedding comes after she opened up about her life as a grandmother. As a grandmother to three adorable little ones, the king takes pride in her role and has even thought about taking care of one of her grandchildren, Sienna.
Sienna, nicknamed Sisi, is the only child of her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
On the episode of her podcast on Wednesday, August 9, she talked about her job, revealing that she takes over whenever her daughter isn’t with her partner. The doting grandmother described the moments with Sienna as “funny”, adding that the tot loves playing with her “every minute of the day.”

Although that means Sarah never gets time to do anything on her own, she doesn’t complain because she cherishes every moment with sweet Sisi.
