The “Good Morning Britain” guest shared a deep tribute to his late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth who recently died at the age of 96. After the news of the Queen’s death, Sarah sent her a message Twitter wrote the page, “I am saddened by the passing of Her Majesty the Queen.”

The 62-year-old woman went on to mention that the late king left behind a great legacy, which she described as “the greatest example of duty and service and steadfastness, and a constant presence as the head of our nation for more than 70 years.”

After her divorce from the Duke of York in 1996, she became the object of media scrutiny due to her role in royal scandals over the years; Fergie seems to remember this elsewhere tweets calling the Queen a wonderful mother-in-law and friend.

Following the confirmation of the late king’s death, his eldest son Charles became King shortly after King Charles III issued the first statement, as reported by The Blast. “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” the statement began.

It continues with The King stating that while his immediate family will mourn him, he knows that his passing will be deeply felt throughout the world. The statement ended by mentioning that during the period of mourning, they would be comforted to know how much the world respected the late king.

Before the announcement, the Royal Family also shared a black-and-white photo of the late Queen on their social media, revealing that she had died at the age of 96. “The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” the message read. They shared that the King and Queen will stay at Balmoral before returning to London the next day.

It was also reported that other members of the royal family such as Prince William and Prince Harry rushed to be by the late Queen’s side in her final moments.

The Blast reports that moments before the Queen’s departure, a rare sighting seemed to bring some comfort to the mourners. Several people have posted sightings of a rainbow seen in the sky shortly before the death was announced.

Royal photographer Chris Jackson appears to be among the many who see significance in the sighting. Sharing a photohe added to the picture by explaining how when the flag was lowered to half-mast over Windsor Castle, a rainbow appeared for a moment and then disappeared.

Another post worth mentioning is Andy Lines, Chief Correspondent of the Daily Mirror, who also shared a briefing clips rainbow over Buckingham Palace. It seems that rainbows aren’t the only ones appearing near the castle because Political Editor Claire Ellicott saw them too. He shared pictures of what appeared to be a double rainbow appearing over the Thames.

Twitter users have also confirmed reported sightings, with one saying he witnessed three sightings at Balmoral, Windsor Castle, and above Buckingham Palace. Comments from users indicated they were comforted by the sight of the rainbow, adding that they felt like the late Queen was sending them a message that everything was going to be okay.
