“The Bachelor” will be back on our TV screens before the end of the month, and Bachelor Nation will be given a chance to get to know Zach Shallcross a little better!
Bachelor Nation first met Shallcross as a contestant on the latest season of “The Bachelorette.” Shallcross, 26, tried to win Rachel Recchia’s heart, but ended up finishing third. Recchia would be engaged to Tino Franco, but the couple would break up soon after Franco walked out of their relationship, cheating on her.
Bachelor Nation got a glimpse of Shallcross’ season a few weeks ago after the trailer started making the rounds on social media.
The trailer isn’t the only one fans will get before the Jan. 23 season premiere; “The Bachelor” will be spotlighting Shallcross contestants on the official Bachelor Nation TikTok account on Wednesday, January 4th!
However, some fans in Bachelor Nation aren’t excited to follow the next chapter of “The Bachelor.” Mixed reactions to the upcoming season have continued to be shared on social media as Bachelor Nation approaches the start of Shallcross’ second chance at romance, and they don’t seem to be slowing down.
Bachelor Nation Gets Ready For The Big Reveal!
Bachelor Nation began promoting the upcoming TikTok event on their official social media accounts on Monday afternoon.
Sharing a post on the official @BachelorABC Twitter account and Bachelor Nation Instagram, the franchise announced that they will “give you an inside look at the women vying for Zach’s heart this WEDNESDAY…”
Host Jesse Palmer will also be involved in the event, which will take place at 4PM PT/7 PM Est.
The Bachelor Nation and reality TV podcast, Here For The Rose, quoted-tweeted the announcement, writing, “For 2 seconds [sic] my brain can’t see two different people,” with a depressed emoji, referring to an event poster featuring Shallcross and Palmer together.
A LOT Fans Are Saying About Upcoming Events!
An Instagram post for the upcoming event received several comments from fans, giving a warm welcome to both the event and the Shallcross season.
The heated reaction to Shallcross and the season of “The Bachelor” is nothing new. A few weeks ago, The Blast saw the reactions surrounding the release of the teaser trailer. “I’ve never been so disinterested,” one fan commented on Shallcross’s reel post of the trailer.
A disinterested mood was carried over to the event’s post mentioned on Instagram. One fan simply wrote, “No.”
“No Thanks. Zach is a big drag party. Won’t be watching,” another viewer commented.
“Wonderful!! Another CLAY tow party season!! This show has fallen apart since Chris left,” commented fan Chris Harrison.
Harrison’s absence from the franchise was mentioned more than once. Another fan wrote, “I’m not interested in TikTok, it’s fine if someone else wants to do it. will not be watching ‘The Bachelor’ this season. Has moved since Chris Harrison was terminated.
“Gonna skip like I skipped Clayton’s season,” another Bachelor Nation fan commented on the post. “I would imagine Rodney is a bachelor. can’t believe she’s been let go twice now for men she has no emotional connection or desire for,” their comments concluded.
Rodney Mathews was a contestant on Michelle Young’s season of “The Bachelorette,” and was most recently featured as a contestant on “Bachelor In Paradise.”
