Sarah Hyland and her husband, Wells Adams, have officially been married for a year. The cute couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary with a sweet tribute post on Instagram. Hyland and Adams first met in 2017, got engaged in 2019, and had to postpone due to COVID.

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams have been officially married for a year. The couple celebrated their first anniversary with a post on their Instagram account. Hyland shared a photo of them on their wedding day with the caption, “One year of being married to you went by in the blink of an eye. You are my HUSBAND. My bestfriend. My true north.”
Hyland continued, “I love you more than words and every day is the best day when I’m with you. Marriage is the most fun I’ve ever had because I’m going to marry you.”
Instead, Adams posted a photo from their wedding of their vow exchange, where Hyland made a funny face. The caption read, “Happy first birthday to my perfect wife. i love you more Add one. Whatever you say.”
The photo also includes Hyland’s “Modern Family” co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson officiating the ceremony. Another photo shared by Adams shows the happy couple dancing on their wedding day.
They Had A Private Wedding At The Winery
Hyland and Adams had a small and private wedding at a winery in California. The “Modern Family” alum and former “Bachelor in Heaven” star invited their close family and friends, including some special co-stars from their respective shows.
Hyland invited Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Nolan Gould. Ferguson officiated the wedding after Hyland’s “Modern Family” Dad, Ty Burrell, was unable to attend the ceremony due to a family emergency.
Hyland and Adams started dating in 2017, and he popped the question two years later. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the couple to be engaged for more than three years. They want to wait and have a perfect wedding with their loved ones.
During the 2021 interview with People’s Magazine, Adams talked about their long engagement and wedding plans. He said, “So now we’re hoping next year, or we’ll go to Vegas, or court, I don’t know — well, we’re not going to do those last two things, but I don’t know. 2022 has to be our year, right?!”

Hyland has also been busy with work over the past few months, including hosting the current season of “Love Island USA.” During a recent episode, Hyland showed up for a “dump night” with the contestants. The first to go was Keenan Anunay, who received the lowest votes, but his elimination sparked some drama.
After he was thrown out, Vickala Gray, Anunay’s partner, said she wanted to go with him. He stated, “I think I’ve found my purpose in coming here, and I want to go with Keenan.”
Hyland then asked Gray if he was sure that he was “really happy” about leaving “Love Island,” to which he replied, “No regrets.”
At this point, another Islander, Mike Starks, told Hyland that he didn’t like his words and that he “sounded crazy disrespectful.” Later that night, Starks also left “Love Island” after he was evicted via public vote. He has not said anything about his comments to Hyland since his ouster from the show.
