Fortunately, Savannah reveals that her niece’s school was not the one involved in the shooting. In a series of Instagram Story posts, the TV personality addressed the painful situation, including its impact on her emotional health.
The “Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley” podcast host confirmed her niece’s well-being with a sweet photo. The image captures the two in a warm embrace, with the entertainer showering Chloe with a kiss.
The media personality captioned the touching moment, “I’ve never been more grateful,” and added two crying emojis. Following this post appeared a video carousel in which the former Miss Tennessee Teen USA titleholder discussed the school shooting.
Holding back tears, the 25-year-old began her speech by thanking fans for checking on Chloe’s health and reassuring them of younger Chrisley’s safety. The podcaster explained that he felt a “level of guilt” to say his nephew was fine following the horrific incident.
While grateful for Chloe’s well-being, the entertainer sympathized with the parents affected by the shooting. “I’m so grateful, but there are parents today who can’t bring their children home,” lamented the blonde beauty.
Taking a moment to regain her composure, the Sassy By Savannah founder admitted that gun violence has taken its toll on the Nashville community. However, the situation weighed heavily on the beauty mogul’s heart because the school was not far from where she lived.
“It was horrible. I don’t know how many lives it will take for there to be a change,” continued the reality TV star. “Heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with all these families, all the children who have been affected by it.”
Visibly upset by the incident, the entrepreneur noted that things are different when someone’s child can be a victim. After hearing the news in the morning, Savannah admitted that she was “broken” and rushed to get her niece from school.
Founder of Savannah & Co. Real Estate. explained that the image of him hugging Chloe happened when he picked on the little one at school. “That hug when she got out of school, she told me ‘ow, you hugged me too hard,'” said the reality TV star, describing the moment as “the greatest feeling in the world.”
The “Growing Up Chrisley” alum advised parents to hug their children “tighter tonight” and thank God for His blessings while praying for those who are grieving. As for mass shootings, Savannah implores the government to change, saying:
“Right now, our children are victims of a country that cannot go out on their own. All we do is fight, fight, fight, and we’re not making progress on either side — Democrats and Republicans — both sides!”
The Nashville School Shooting Was a Planned Attack
As reported by the Associated Press, Covenant School, a Christian elementary school institution, was the scene of a tragic mass shooting on Monday, March 27. The attacker, a former student, shot through the doors of the organization, killing six innocent souls.
Three students and three adults were brutally killed during the gun violence, which was reported to be a planned massacre. Authorities discovered that the shooter had scouted the school, drawing a detailed map of the institution before attacking the building.
Police identified the attacker as Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old woman. Further investigation revealed that the shooter was transgender and believed to have suffered from “hate” for attending Covenant School.
Two responding officers killed Hale at the school. The shooter’s victims included three 9-year-old children, the school’s top administrator, a substitute teacher and a custodian.
