Savannah Chrisley talks about the damage her parents’ absence caused to her famous family.
As fans recall, in June 2022, Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie, were convicted on all counts of bank and tax fraud after a three-week trial. By November, they were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison and ordered to serve an additional 16 months of probation upon release.
About a month ago, the real estate developer reported to a federal prison in Florida to begin his 12-year term. At the same time, his wife is headed to a facility in Kentucky to serve a seven-year prison sentence.
Although this was the new norm for the couple, their daughter found it difficult to adapt to the new system. She recently sat down with her grandmother, Nanny Faye, to share her struggles with her parents’ absence.

Minutes into the conversation, Faye choked back tears as she spoke of her daughter-in-law’s dedication to her during a series of bladder cancer treatments. The 79-year-old said:
“There is no single treatment [for my bladder cancer] where my precious daughter-in-law is not with me — never.” She added, “Through it all, he’s been with me.”
Emphasizing that Julie cared about everyone in their family, Faye said, “When you need something, call Julie,” then continued, “She would call me three or four times every day. And at seven o’clock, she had called me to see whether I am well and to see if I have a good night.”
Savannah then said, “If we’re being honest about it, everyone knows mom and dad are your primary caregivers.” She reiterated, “It’s hard because mom is everyone’s primary caregiver.”
Regarding the pilgrimage, when the 25-year-old woman shared during last week’s episode that she visited her father, she confirmed that her grandmother was prevented from seeing her son due to documentation problems.
As the old woman expressed how she had trouble not being able to talk to Julie and Todd often, Savannah explained, “You have to jump through hoops to visit.”
The week of the reality star’s parent’s incarceration was a tough one for her as it came days after the much-cherished Valentine’s Day. While others were with their loved ones, The Blast noted that the troubled daughter revealed to her followers that she misses her father’s smile.

The next upload shows him smiling with headphones on while holding a drink bottle under his chin. She wore a tie-dye blouse and tucked her hair into a black baseball cap. The caption read, “A little glimpse of happiness in the middle of the storm… thankful.”
‘Growing Up Chrisley’ Star Complains About Parents’ Unfair Punishment
Like everyone else if they lose both guardians to prison, Savannah is unhappy and can’t wrap her head around her parents’ convictions. But he got something when he ranted late last month.
The Blast noted that the doting daughter was furious after she learned that her parents’ prison sentence was similar to the sentence a murderer received in the same state. He posted the latest headlines about a convicted murderer. Next to the headline was a picture of a convicted murderer. The reposted headline read:
“A man who confronted, shot and killed another man walking with his two children last year was sentenced to 13 years in prison on Wednesday.”
The similarity between the punishment of his parents and the punishment of a convicted murderer upset him. Demanding an explanation for what she thought was an unfair sentence meted out to her father, she highlighted her words in red text, writing, “Hmmm…makes sense.”
