Santos’ tragic death comes days after Ana Clara Benevides Machado, a 23-year-old Swift fan, died.

According to a local Brazilian newspaper, Fohla De Sao Paolo, Ana passed out in the stadium while waiting for the start of the “Eras Tour” concert under the scorching heat and finally passed. News outlets confirmed he died of cardiorespiratory arrest.

Ana’s father, Weiny Machado, recently broke his silence about her passing, revealing how hurt he was by the sad incident.

He told a local newspaper, “I lost my only daughter, a cheerful and intelligent girl. She will graduate in Psychology next April, saving money. I have no words to express my pain. He left home to fulfill a dream and came back to die.”

Weiny also criticized the stadium for the policy of not allowing water bottles into the stadium despite the extreme heat wave in the country.

“I want to know whether they are actually prohibited from carrying water, whether there was negligence in providing assistance. I know the singer is handing out water to his fans, and that doesn’t make sense for an event of this magnitude,” Weiny said.

He added, “Nothing will bring my daughter back, but I hope that, if negligence is confirmed, someone will be punished so that this does not happen to anyone else.”

After Ana’s death, furious Swifties demanded changes to the policy that prohibits concertgoers from bringing water bottles into the stadium.

Concert promoters, Time For Fun (T4F), were blamed for Ana’s death, with many saying how things might have been different if the 23-year-old had had access to water while waiting for the show to start.

Changes have been made to stadium guidelines regarding spectators and access to food and water. T4F has revised its policy to provide participants with free water bottles at multiple distribution points. People are also now allowed to bring processed food and water glasses with closed lids.
