The 30-year-old singer and “Only Murders In The Building” actress has returned to social media after a brief hiatus. Gomez faced a lot of headlines earlier this month related to both Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner’s social media activities.

A few weeks later, the Rare Beauty CEO is back on Instagram, and she’s taking time to look back as she moves forward from the headlines that linked her to her ex-boyfriend’s now wife and friend.

Gomez posted a throwback photo on Wednesday evening and pleaded for her younger self as she commemorated International Women’s Day. Gomez opened up a conversation about healing and self-worth as she asked her younger self to reach out for more than just relying on herself.

Gomez is quite transparent when it comes to discussing her mental health publicly.

The “Lose You To Love Me” singer brought her fans closer to her inner world with the release of the Apple TV+ documentary “My Mind & Me” released last year. He’s quite candid in the trailer for the documentary about the effects his faltering mental health has had on him in the past.

In the trailer for the documentary, Gomez admits she’s “grateful to be alive,” and is also seen giving a pep talk to herself in which she encourages herself to move forward.

“Be yourself, Selena, nobody cares what you do,” she told her reflection. “It’s about who I am.”

“My Mind & Me” explores Gomez’s experiences following multiple diagnoses. She candidly discusses how her life has been shaped as a result of dealing with her bipolar disorder diagnosis, Lupus, depression, self-image and more.

He has also struggled particularly with the impact of social media on his life; Gomez revealed in a 2021 interview that she hands over social media management to an assistant; he is also candid in admitting that he “gets nothing out of” using social media, and has been overwhelmed by the amount of information available on the platform.

Gomez returned to social media last week, sharing behind-the-scenes photos from work, makeup tutorials and celebrating a friend’s upcoming wedding.

Her latest Instagram post is a more somber tone; Gomez posted a photo of her younger self and wrote her a note.

Gomez wrote, “Younger me, please don’t be afraid to ask for help,” adding, “Today is International Women’s Day and I want each of us to be kinder to ourselves. Write yourself @RareBeauty #rarereminder and stick it on your mirror to remind yourself that you deserve the world. Love you,” he concluded.

Fellow actress and mental health advocate Christy Carlson Romano also left SelGo some love.

“Sweet girl, you’ll move mountains,” commented “Even Stevens” alumni.

“Twilight” actor and “The Squeeze” podcast host, Taylor Lautner, posted two heart emojis for his friend.

The mood in the comments section of Gomez’s post isn’t about encouragement; some followers included references to Hailey Bieber into their comments.

“Let’s see if hailey copied this,” one follower wrote.

“Waiting for Hailey to post baby pics,” another commented.

“Honestly you should tell your fans to stop hating!,” one follower pleaded with Gomez. “It is ridiculous and shameful. Like literally bullying women on national women’s day is NOT COOL! If you don’t like bullying, you should tell your fans to stop because of what they are doing [is] hurt a lot of people. Happy women’s day I think…”

“I hope Hailey can heal from what your fans have done to her,” commented another follower. “It’s horrible, but you love it.”

“How about telling your fans to stop bullying Hailey and jb’s sister,” another follower told Gomez.

Justin Bieber inspired social media chatter after his birthday celebration last weekend; The “One Less Lonely Girl” singer allegedly gave out party favors that contained messages thought to be references to her on-and-off relationship with Gomez. They both started dating in 2010.

The “souvenir” contained a message that read “I’m so grateful that I didn’t get what I thought I wanted.” Although the party inscription did not specifically refer to a person, Twitter users assumed it was related to Gomez.
