Actress and singer Selena Gomez admits that her body transformation will be permanent.
Over the years, Gomez’s figure has undergone some significant changes as a result of the effects of her autoimmune disease, lupus.
Taking to Instagram recently, she posted pictures of herself from the years apart, reflecting on the changes and how she remains “proud” of who she is.

Selena Gomez has had a tough few years when it comes to body changes, having previously been diagnosed with lupus, which forced her to undergo surgery.
In a recent post on her Instagram Story, she reflected on the change by posting two photos of herself, the first taken when she was 21 and the other during a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last year.

In the early photos, Gomez was photographed wearing a two-piece halter top that showcased her toned body. The accompanying caption read, “Today, I realized that I will never look like this again…” suggesting her acknowledgment that achieving her former shape may be an unattainable goal.
The next photo features a curvier Gomez, dressed in a white top and black bottom set. In this image, she added the caption that she is still “proud” of her appearance despite the changes that have taken place.
She wrote, “I’m not perfect, but I’m proud to be who I am… Sometimes I forget that it’s okay to be me.”

Finding an advantage, Gomez insists that he later realized that his struggle gave him the opportunity to help others.
“You’re going to help people,” Gomez remembers telling herself. “That’s what keeps me going. Maybe there was a time when I wasn’t strong enough and would do something to hurt myself.”
