The multi-talented star is adding the title of fashion designer to her very hairy hat, following her and her longtime friend’s partnership with QVC to launch an accessible clothing collection. Since he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis [MS] in 2018, Blair has set out to do things that will help others like her. Accordingly, the actress has joined forces with her friend and designer Isaac Mizrahi and QVC to produce an inclusive clothing line that celebrates accessible fashion.

The “H—boy” star opened up about her dreams of manifesting through a fashion line during an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE that also featured Mizrahi. Recalling how it all began, the 51-year-old stated:
“Everything came together perfectly. I ran into him [Mizrahi] at a restaurant in New York City after I got my diagnosis and remember saying to him, ‘I hope one day maybe we can work together on something accessible for disabled and non-disabled people’ and he said, ‘That’s great. . We have to find him.’ And then here we are.”
Since they’ve known each other for decades, with Mizrahi creating several of the advocate’s red carpet looks, it shouldn’t be too difficult for them to work together. In fact, Blair’s determination and perseverance in the face of her battle with MS inspired the designer and pushed her to create more adaptive clothing.
“I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to help in any way possible. Especially if you’re like me and you’re interested in democratizing things and making things accessible. It’s a little bit of an extra challenge, but I feel like a lot of the accessibility stuff I’ve put into the clothes I make for women in general, like washability and really soft textiles, so we already have a good foundation,” says Mizrahi. He later praised QVC for being “a great partner in this” because of “accessibility and the way they keep things very affordable and easy to get, and they ship everything.” Speaking to reinforce her feelings about the collection, Blair shared:
“I love and have a lot of respect for creative directors and designers and I never thought about stepping into that space. I believe that every woman should feel as stylish as I did wearing Isaac from the start. She makes me feel so beautiful.”

The “Legally Blonde” performer started the month as an A-list Hollywood star who walked with Biden to a White House event marking the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. “Although I’ve had symptoms since the age of 7, it took a lifetime of self-advocacy to finally lead me to a diagnosis at 46, after living most of my life in pain and self-doubt,” the 51-year-old said. -said the old man.
