Actress Selma Blair and her ex-boyfriend Ronald Carlson filed competing restraining orders against each other in March.
Both gave very different accounts of their stories and both sides presented graphic injuries to the court to support their claims. However, in new legal documents obtained by The Blast, it appears that both restraining orders have been dismissed.

On September 13, the Los Angeles court stated that the “Order Granting Dismissal of the Request for Restraining Order pursuant to the decree” was filed on September 13, two days ahead of schedule. Neither side was present at the hearing as the court upheld their decision, dismissing both restraining orders. No reason for the dismissal was specified in court documents.
In court documents previously obtained by The Blast, Carlson claims that he was granted a temporary protection order against Blair from February 25 to March 22 of this year. She claims he caused her emotional or physical harm on February 22 and asked the court to stop him from contacting her and her daughter.

However, Blair, who has been granted a restraining order for herself and her son, has a very different version of events about who started the fight and what injuries she sustained.

In court documents filed earlier this year, Carlson claimed that Blair “assaulted me in her home, causing injuries to my face and body. Unfortunately, even though Selma was the aggressor and the one who initiated the attack, and I was the victim, she called the police after I left. his house and falsely claimed that I had assaulted him.”
“We were still sitting on the couch when he started attacking me with both hands, scratching and clawing at my face,” she wrote in legal papers. “He hit and scratched my nose, eyes, and cheeks many times.” He claimed that he took two pictures of his face showing scratches under his eyes and nose.

He also claimed that his left eye was “black and bruised and swollen.” He submitted several graphic images of his injuries to the court as part of his evidence regarding the alleged assault. However, Blair also shared some graphic images of her injuries.

The 50-year-old “Legally Blonde” actress gave a much different version of events and claimed that Carlson choked her while seeking shelter for herself and her ten-year-old son.
“My son lives with me and this attack took place in my home,” she wrote in the document. “The respondent is the father of a child who attends the same school as my child. I fear for the safety of both my children and myself after this attack.”

Blair claimed that Carlson went to her home to deliver the TV set on February 22. At the time, Blair claimed that she was on severe medication due to Multiple Sclerosis treatment. She claims that the two argued, with Carlson hurling curses at her. “You f—ed up, you can’t do anything, you can’t love anybody, you’re useless, you’re lame,” was one example of the graphic language he used, as written in court documents.

As she lay on the couch, Blair alleged that Carlson lunged at her “and choked her, choked her and violently shook her head and shoulders.” Blair claimed that she lost consciousness during the attack, suffered a nosebleed, and then lost consciousness again when police arrived on the scene.

Carlson has argued that “The Sweetest Thing” actress has frequent nosebleeds and presented evidence of a text message exchange between the two showing Blair standing over the bathroom sink with a bleeding nose.
“Oh bad. I’ll show you soon,” he wrote. “Kelly just called. I woke up soon. I’m still there. And my nose was bleeding all night.” Carlson reportedly replied, “Oh no. That looks fake. I know it’s not… it’s just so much.”
No reason was given as to why the restraining order from competing was thrown out, but it looks like Selma Blair is moving on with her life, if competing on “Dancing With The Stars” is any indication! In an Instagram post, she shared a piece of her outfit and encouraged her followers to watch her show on September 19.
