A senior living facility made a short recreation of Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show and shared it on TikTok with the caption, “Our halftime show > Rihanna halftime show ??????” It now has more than 30 million views, 3.6 million likes and 35,000 reviews.
In the video, viewers see residents of the facility dressed in white and lined up two by two after a lucky senior resident. Each line stepped away one line at a time to reveal their lead singer in the back dressed in red holding a microphone and lip-syncing to Rihanna’s hit, “Rude Boy.”

One of the residents, and the facility’s halftime show dancer Dora Martin told News 40 she watched the Super Bowl halftime show with her grandchildren. “Me and my grandkids were watching and something got stuck and I was standing there thinking wow, I wish I could do that…and then I did,” he said.
Residents hope their social media followers take away an important message from watching their dance and other fun videos. “I hope they see that getting old and living in a facility isn’t as bad as we used to think,” said resident Sue Evans.
Many followers of the page are asking for more videos. “This is the best thing I’ve seen today ? thank you for sharing,” one follower wrote in the comments. Another added, “I really like this. I miss my grandma and grandpa so much. This is perfect.”
Other followers just want to say they love watching your show. “This is so cute where can I get tickets for front row seats?” one asked. Another wrote, “Love the women and workers who help them stay active and creative!❤️?”

Five days after the video was uploaded to TikTok, the facility got a big surprise from rapper JAY-Z. They shared a photo of their surprise gift of red roses on the facility’s Facebook page with the caption, “Even JAY-Z gave us some love!! #TikTokStars.”
If that wasn’t enough to make the residents happy, they got another big surprise gift a few days later from Rihanna herself.
“The moment we hoped for, Rihanna delivered,” they captioned a photo of white flowers with a card that read, “You dance ladies are amazing. Love Roc Nation Rihanna.”
