An insider recently revealed to Page Six that Serena Williams is shopping for a new memoir deal, with offers estimated at $10 million and up. A source shared that the publishing world is buzzing about the biography and speculated that the tennis icon has “an eight-figure offer on the table.”

Another insider told the news outlet that Williams may have closed the deal, as his team was initially interested in a multi-book deal. The forthcoming book will be Williams’ second memoir after his 2009 release My Life: Queen of the Courtwhich he wrote through a ghostwriter.

Since the release of the first memoir, Williams has achieved many successes in life, especially regarding her tennis career. The 41-year-old is married to tech giant Alexis Ohanian, has a daughter, Alexis Olympia, and has battled and overcome various health issues.

News of the memoir deal comes shortly after Williams launched his new multimedia production company, 926 Productions. Williams works at the company with newly appointed president Caroline Currier. He also recently shared a first look into a new deal with Amazon Studios.

In a statement to Hollywood Reporter about the company’s launch, Williams said, “With the launch of 926 Productions, we aim to amplify female and diverse voices through content that speaks to everyone. I am very excited to begin the next chapter of my career with Caroline, a woman who understands the art of storytelling and is passionate about taking the entertainment industry in new directions.”

In 2022, Williams announced that she was officially retiring from tennis to focus on her family and other aspects of her life. During a subsequent interview with Gayle King, the sports icon explained that he had given “a lifetime to tennis,” adding that it was finally time for him to give his life to something different.

Williams also shared that her father urged her to stop retiring and play “two more Grand Slams,” which she said is not “likely to happen anytime soon.” Despite being retired and having time for her family and herself, Williams said the adjustment was difficult. He shared, “I don’t know how to relax. I have to schedule it in my schedule.”

However, two recent Instagram posts have hinted that Williams may be considering a return to the tennis court. The first post is a picture of himself “out hitting” in the morning and the second is another one of him on the court “trying to stay fit.”
