Hollywood actress Shailene Woodley recently released some deep words and advice for her fans about handling social media, especially Instagram.

The “Big Little Lies” alum took to her Instagram to share her thoughts on the app. He also talks about the importance of making people laugh by showing our silly side. The Emmy-nominated actress added that even though she’s a hopeless romantic, she believes in a little mystery and authenticity. The “Big Little Lies” alum gives her two cents on how to keep things light on social media. Woodley took to her Instagram to share her thoughts on the app, alongside images from her recent vacation in Europe.

“I’m talking to a girlfriend at the moment about Instagram, anxiety, public perception and in general, I find the rants about this subject on social media a bit overwhelming… because I struggle with the REAL factor of it all,” she start.

“But, my beautiful lady expressed her insecurities about something someone posted about her because it just showed the ‘weird’ ‘silly’ side of her personality … nothing is ‘normal’. I say ‘normal’ is not real … it’s a forced version himself, ourselves … and that his ‘stupidity’ is the part of him that makes this world bright.”

She continued, “I also believe you can’t give it your all over the internet. Make sure it’s sexy in the flesh, you know? Instagram should be where we come to laugh at ourselves + society. Not beat ourselves up for it.”

At the time, she shared an unrelated video of a pig taking a bath on her Instagram story. He also sent a message addressed to the media adding that they were holding straws.

“Just read somewhere that the media claimed I deleted my insta story amid ‘chaos’,” he wrote. “(astrological post for all things) (not vague at all, you idiot).”

Woodley continued, “do you know how stories work, brah ?? they go off on their own after 24 hours. really amused here at your determination to make a story out of nothing. Grasping at straws my dear.” This response was about an article that reported that the actor had posted, “A calm ocean may bring you peace, but a storm is where you will find your power.”

In 2020, the “Divergent” star opened up about experiencing a condition that left him “very, very sick” and nearly derailed his career.

“I don’t talk much about this publicly, and I will, one day,” he shared with The New York Times. “While I was filming Divergent and working hard, I was also struggling with a very personal and very scary physical situation.”

He shared more details about his condition with The Hollywood Reporteradding that it was a debilitating condition that left him physically unable to participate in some projects.

Woodley, however, reassured his fans that he is on the tail end of the condition, which, he says, is a “silent, invisible illness.”

“Unless someone can see that you have a broken arm or leg, it’s very hard for people to relate to the pain you’re in when it’s silent, silent, invisible pain.”
