Shanna Moakler has marked her mother Gail’s first posthumous birthday.
The model paid tribute to her late parents in a touching social media tribute that featured a throwback image of her and her husband, John W. Moakler III, smiling for the camera. He had announced that his mother had died at the age of 77 in January, alongside a media release thanking “all the friends and family who have reached out and sent their condolences.”

She’s now your personal “angel” ?️,” one fan typed in the comments, while a second stated that the photo was “so precious.” A third stated that they were “sending so much love and hugs to the” star “of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”, concludes, “You and you’re [sic] mom is so beautiful!”
A fourth person also sent her hugs and the knowledge that May 14 must be a “hard first Mother’s Day without your number one fan. Shanna shared another update as the outpouring of love continued, showcasing her daughter Atiana De La Hoya’s tribute to Gail on her Instastories.
The post shows three generations of grandmothers [Gail]mother [Shanna]and granddaughter [Atiana] on a special occasion because the latter, who is still a baby in the image, wears a white baptismal garment. According to The Blast, which was originally shared on Atiana’s Story, the photo came with the words, “Today is hard.”

Shortly after her mother passed away, Shanna shared a screenshot of her last conversation with a beloved family member. The chain of texts began with the reality television star’s mother typing:
“We should get snow today or tomorrow. I’m kind of looking forward to it [.] I like snow.”
After seeing her daughter’s “Lucky” response, Gail revealed that she is in “such a good place right now” – both physically and mentally. He then expressed his love for his family before saying, “I love you, baby.”
