Shannen Doherty’s Latest Post Confirms Her Breast Cancer Has Spread To Her Brain
Doherty has revealed to her two million Instagram followers that she is battling brain metastases. In the shared clip, Doherty is seen laughing and chatting with a medical professional, whose voice can be heard in the background, as she lies in a hospital bed.
The professional’s hand part looked simple as he placed it on the actor’s outstretched hand to get a reaction. He then checked the “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” star’s feet to confirm if he felt anything.

The conversation between the two continued as medical staff informed Doherty, who was wearing a hospital gown, a large head cap and a nose mask, about possible irritation after her surgery. Notifying his followers through the caption, he wrote:
“January 16, 2023. Surgery. I have a tumor in my head that they want to remove and also biopsy. I was obviously trying to be brave but I was petrified. The fear was overwhelming me.”
“Afraid of all the possible negative consequences, worried about leaving my mother and the effect on her. He was worried about me coming out of surgery, not me anymore. This is what cancer looks like,” he told the audience.
As mentioned above, the update sparked a response from fans, with one writing, “I find it incredible that this was in January and then you went to the UK where I had the privilege of meeting you in May. 4 months between them, it just shows your incredible strength, courage and bravery. I’ve never met a more inspiring person, really.”
A second fan called her “the definition of resilience,” and a third praised, “You are a true inspiration to show the real bullshit% that goes into cancer. It’s not all pink ribbons and fundraising drives. Thank you!!!!!! !”
A fourth person told her she has a “huge fan base praying” for her well-being and recovery, adding, “People who have never met you feel like we’ve known you our whole lives. God be with you, Shannon.” “Terrible. Glad you’re here today on the other side and can talk about it. Hats off. Amazing woman,” commented a fifth netizen.

“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wants. Unfortunately, he felt he had no other choice.”
In legal filings obtained by the outlet, we learned that the former couple had been separated since January and had cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.
Hours before it became public knowledge that the photographer and Doherty had filed for divorce, the latter released a cryptic statement on her Instagram feed and Stories that read:
“The only people who deserve to be in your life are those who treat you with love, kindness and complete respect.”
This union will be the longest the “Enchanted” alum has experienced, after a year of marriage with her first two husbands. While he was married to actress and comedian Ashley Hamilton from 1993 to 1994, he and poker player Rick Salomon were man and wife from 2002 to 2003.
