The beloved actress recently took to social media to deny claims that she knew about her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, cheating years before he had to undergo brain surgery. The update, which got fans talking, came shortly after she shared that she found out about Iswarienko’s two-year affair before her procedure.

The week began on an interesting note for many viewers when a member of Iswarienko’s inner circle claimed that she and Doherty had been “living separate lives” for two years before her surgery in January 2023.
According to insiders, the photographer has been open about starting a new relationship with someone else while she and the “Little House on the Prairie” actress live in different states.
They also claim that Iswarienko informed his soon-to-be ex-wife of the relationship shortly after New Year 2023, days before he collapsed and underwent an MRI, revealing his brain tumor.

However, on Tuesday, Doherty denied the narrative on Instagram, calling it an “absolute lie” while stressing the importance of the truth. He uploaded two images — one featuring TMZ in red letters on a black background and the other featuring the allegations in a text string, and his caption addressed the issue.
“Let’s be clear, the truth is important. I just received a disturbing phone call that @tmz_tv is going to run a story about me. The story supposedly came from my husband’s (soon to be ex) friends that he told me two years ago he cheated on me and we had an open marriage,” she said. After labeling the story an “absolute lie,” the 52-year-old added:
“I’ll discuss the marriage and the affair further on @letsbeclearpod In the meantime …. @tmz_tv please do more due diligence and to the “friends/girlfriends’ who tried to delete this story, I know you’re afraid of the truth but trying to circumvent it with lies will get you nowhere. #thetruthmatters.”
Her comments section was quickly flooded with responses from her fans, who were appalled by the attempt to make Doherty sicker amid her ongoing cancer battle.
“Sorry you have to go through this xxx send love,” wrote one commenter, while another stated, “The courage to put him through this when he is fighting for his life is unbelievable. I am so sorry you are going through this.”

As already mentioned, Doherty previously admitted to knowing about Iswarienko’s indiscretions shortly before he underwent surgery in January. Speaking about the situation on the debut episode of his podcast, he said:
“I went into the surgery early in the morning, and I went in after I found out that my marriage was basically over, that my husband had been having an affair for two years. To not have the surgery, though, because it was very clear, he wanted to go , I couldn’t go to that surgery with him there. I felt so betrayed.”

Despite the broken trust, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum still holds out hope of finding love that stands the test of time. According to The Blast, she opened up about her recent realization about giving love a fourth chance during an interview. In his words:
“I wasn’t ready at all before three weeks ago. And something happened. There’s always a trigger, just a moment that you have, someone says something to you, your ex says something to you and you’re like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’m good. I’m good.’ I have closure and I can move on in a really healthy way.”
When asked about what the potential relationship would look like, Shannen Doherty admitted her uncertainty about it, saying:
