Sharan Sharma started his career in the film industry as an assistant director of the film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ in 2013. He later worked as a creative director for the films ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016) and Lust Stories (2018). He made his debut as an independent director with the film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ (2020) starring Jhanvi Kapoor. The film was originally scheduled to be released in cinemas, but due to the lockdown in India during the coronavirus outbreak, the film was released on Netflix’s OTT platform.
