While hosting the ART HOUSE Gala, the famous film actor used his vast platform to address deeply personal and troubling matters. With his son recovering in hospital following a skiing accident, the activist used it to explain the alleged drug push he faced during this challenging time.
Reflecting on her experiences as a model in New York in the late 70s and 80s, including her involvement with Studio 54, Stone pointedly asserts, “A lot of my friends are dead. Don’t f— with me.”

During his speech, he passionately emphasized the importance of maintaining the boundaries between health and healing to avoid abuse. Based on personal experience, the “Casino” star revealed:
“Don’t cross the line between health and healing and abuse. My brother went to Attica [Prison] – he crossed the line. Don’t cross the line with me.”
Although Stone did not reveal her son’s name, she also shared her struggle repeatedly asking medical staff to refrain from giving OxyContin to her injured son.
OxyContin, a classified opioid, carries a significant risk of addiction and dependence. The drug has become a highly debated and controversial issue in the United States, as overdose deaths related to the drug have steadily increased.
The 65-year-old recounted how she repeatedly asked medical staff to remove the drug from her son’s treatment plan, stressing that she wanted an alternative option. Despite her insistence, the mother of three expressed her frustration with numerous calls from various medical professionals who tried to justify the use of drugs on her. He explained:
“Anaphylaxis? ‘It’s not so bad! How bad is it, really? He’s 17, when he’s going to be 18, I really think he can make this decision for himself.’ Until finally, on the sixth call, I said, ‘I’m going on CNN tomorrow and if I get another one of these calls, I’m going to say that your hospital is a drug cartel.’ “
The “Cold Steel” star emphasized that his disagreement is not with painkillers but rather the unethical practices he believes are being practiced by some medical professionals.

Looking back on that painful period, she emotionally stated, “I recovered for seven years, and I haven’t had a job since. When it first happened, I didn’t want to tell anyone because you know if there’s a problem with you, you’re out. There’s a problem with me — I’ve been out for 20 years.”
In a heartfelt confession, Stone said, “I don’t have a job. I was a very big movie star at one point in my life. He went on to reveal that the roles he’s landed since his stroke aren’t great compared to the big projects he had the chance to work on before his health problems.
She bluntly stated that part of the effect of her stroke was an increase in systemic gender inequality in Hollywood.
