Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth got engaged on the season of “The Bachelorette”. Unfortunately, the two announced their separation three years later.
Bristowe then began dating “The Bachelorette” alum Jason Tartick in 2019 and the couple got engaged in 2021. Earlier this month, the two took to Instagram to announce they had decided to split.
Now, Booth has broken his silence on the split, saying he wishes nothing but the best for his ex, Bristowe.

On a recent episode of the “In the Booth” podcast, the former “Bachelor” winner opened up about her ex-fiancé and her current heartbreak.
When asked if he wished Bristowe anything but the best, he replied “Of course I do.”
“I feel like that moment… where you don’t feel anything anymore. You continue,” he continued. “My ex, I just heard that he has now broken off his engagement. Hopefully, he understands what he wants and can get to a place where he’s happy.”
The 36-year-old continued, “I know it’s obviously very difficult to go through a breakup, and then putting it out there for the world to see — that adds another layer. So, yeah, I guess for him for that.

The couple, who have been engaged since 2021, took to Instagram to announce their split a few weeks ago. “After sharing the news with family and close friends first and taking time to properly process it, we are saddened with a heavy heart to share that we have decided to end our engagement,” the couple wrote on social media. “We are grateful to all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-changing decision, as there were many emotions and changes to go through.”
The couple went on to explain how they plan to remain friends and will continue to look after their two dogs, Ramen and Pinot, together. “Our dogs Ramen & Pinot will continue to be cared for together as brothers,” they wrote. “Even if their humans are no longer romantically involved, we will love and care for them together.”
“Continuing our friendship is very important to both of us. We feel grateful to end our engagement with love and respect for each other,” they continued. “It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for each other will never die.”
Tartick and Bristowe concluded, “We are so grateful for the memories made together and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years. Going forward, we will always have a level of support for each other. We don’t know what the future holds, so please try to keep room for us in your heart.”
