Canadian singer Shawn Mendes has come out to dispel rumors that he and Sabrina Carpenter are romantically involved.
Following speculation that they had gone on a date, Mendes and Carpenter became the subject of dating rumors after they were spotted at Miley Cyrus’ album launch party last week.
The “If I Can’t Have You” hitmaker, who stopped touring last year to focus on his mental health, previously dated pop sensation Camila Cabello and has also been linked to 51-year-old chiropractor Dr. Jocelyn Miranda.

Mendes, 24, spoke candidly about the state of his relationship with Carpenter during a recent interview on the Dutch television program “RTL Boulevard,” according to Page Six.
While on the program, Mendes clarified that she was “not dating” Carpenter. The singer was asked about the romance rumors and tried her best to steer the conversation back to her partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, saying that her relationship with the brand should be discussed “probably more than Sabrina.”
Mendes and Carpenter were allegedly seen “clearly dating” at Horses in LA last month, according to a celebrity gossip blog Deuxmoiwhich leads to dating rumors.
They were also spotted together at Miley Cyrus’ “Endless Summer Vacation” album launch party, where they reportedly left in the same car.
The “Senorita” hitmaker was previously in a relationship with singer Camila Cabello, but the couple called it quits in 2021. They took to Instagram to share a joint statement about their split.

The source also clarified the nature of Mendes’ relationship with 51-year-old Dr Jocelyn Miranda, telling ET that the two have never been romantically involved with each other and have never gone on a date.

In a recent interview with street wall journalMendes opened up about the state of her work schedule and gave an update on her mental health concerns.
“The process is very difficult. A lot of therapy, a lot of trying to understand how I feel and what makes me feel that way,” he told the news channel. “And then doing work to help myself and heal. And also relying on the people in my life to help a little bit.”
She continued, “It’s been a lot of work, but I think the last year and a half has been the most eye-opening and growing and beautiful and just healing process of my life.”
“And it really made me see how the culture is really starting to get to a place where mental health is really a priority,” he concluded.
She went on to share that she now realizes that setting boundaries doesn’t make her a bad person, adding that it’s necessary for every relationship.
