Shocking video captures Amazon driver trying to steal woman’s puppy from yard

An Amazon driver in Georgia lost his job after a customer accused him of trying to steal the family’s dog – and recorded the confrontation on video.

Terrika Currence, of Henry County in suburban Atlanta, said her daughter noticed that the driver was pulling their red-nosed pitbull into his delivery truck, WSB-TV reported.

“When I opened the door to put the package in the house, and the dog food, my daughter screamed and said, ‘The Amazon guy stole our puppy!'” Currence, who owns her own skin care company, Beyond Skin Deep, told the outlet .

She said she rushed to confront the driver and video her dog inside the vehicle.

“F—g Amazon finished taking my f—g dog off my f—g yard!” Currence can be heard screaming in the clip.

He then opened the back door of the truck and was surprised to see a pet inside.

“As soon as I opened the truck, he had the puppy in the bin. I had to grab the puppy and get him off the truck,” Currence told WSB-TV.

“He was ready to pull out with our dog,” she said, adding that “he didn’t give any explanation” for what he was doing.

“She literally told me the dog was beautiful and she would love to have a puppy, but I don’t think she would take my puppy,” Currence told Atlanta News First.

“With my daughter, I’m really having a hard time with her now because now she’s worried that every time the delivery driver comes, they could potentially take the puppy,” she added.

In a statement to the outlet, an Amazon representative said: “We have apologized to the customer and are glad their dog was returned unharmed.

“The driver involved is no longer delivering for Amazon and we have reached out to law enforcement to assist as they investigate,” the spokesperson said.

Currence told WSB-TV that “it’s a relief to me that he’s been fired but if he did something like that, I’m sure, you know it’s in his character. He would do it again.”

Henry County Police are investigating the incident.
