Shocking video captures trooper miraculously surviving as SUV slams into vehicle he’d stopped

Sickening dashcam recording captured the moment an Oklahoma police officer was thrown into the air when a vehicle crashed into an SUV he was pulling over — miraculously getting back up unharmed.

Trooper Jesse Gregory is seen in footage released this week standing next to the passenger of a vehicle near the end of a 20-minute stop on Interstate 40 last week.

Suddenly, a black SUV drove into the stationary vehicle standing next to him — slamming it violently to the ground, as if going first.

The vehicle that was hit also slid several feet along the edge of the highway, as the SUV that hit it overturned several times.

Amazingly, Gregory rolls over and almost immediately gets back up, running out of frame and any possible danger.

“Watching the video, I don’t remember rolling to my feet,” Gregory told KWTV, pointing out how his only injury appeared to be a graze on his left arm.

“Hopefully this is my career scare,” said the soldier, although he had previously witnessed another soldier being seriously injured in the same accident.

“I’m ready to get back” to work, Gregory said, while admitting “it’s going to take some time to get back.”

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said it shared the footage “as a graphic reminder of the consequences of distracted or impaired driving and the importance of moving slowly, passing the law.”

“We are in the midst of a distracted driving focus right now in honor of Trooper Nicholas Dees, who lost his life in the line of duty after being hit by a distracted driver,” it continued.

“Fortunately, Trooper Gregory is expected to be fine. In fact, all three people involved in this incident have been treated and released,” OHP said, adding that the terrifying incident is still under investigation.

Gregory was at the same scene on Jan. 5, when Deputy Jose Tayahua-Mendoza was hit by a car while conducting a traffic stop, Fox News reported.

“Hey, brother, are you okay?” he asked the fellow officer.

Gregory told KWTV that Tayahua-Mendoza was his neighbor.

“He was attacked in the same situation. I was less than a mile away from him, and I was actually the first one on the scene and called for help,” he said,

Tayahua-Mendoza survived the crash but is reportedly in a long-term rehabilitation facility.
