‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Embraces ‘Sanity’ Amid Family Drama

Janelle Brown is fine despite her family dynamic!

Since the dissolution of her longtime marriage to Kody Brown, the “Sister Wives” star and her former lover have not seen eye to eye on several occasions. Despite her ex-husband’s strained relationship with their sons Gabe and Garrison, the entertainer remains committed to living her best life.

Janelle Brown Keeps Her Mental Health In Check By Eliminating Her Problems

The past few months have caught a lot of drama on TLC’s reality TV series about the Brown family, but the issues highlighted on the show haven’t been enough to weigh Janelle down. In her latest Instagram Story update, the 54-year-old showed off her joy in a makeup-free selfie taken in a car.

The picture shows her flashing a beaming smile with her teeth on display while her blonde hair is slicked back with some tendrils falling to the side. Janelle’s skin was slightly flushed, the glow she’d achieved after sweating profusely at the gym. Talking about her healthy lifestyle, the entertainer’s caption read:

“STRESS? WHAT STRESS? EXERCISE = HEALTH!!! #SWEATYSELFIE.”

The adorable image comes months after the TV personality declared her support for her son amid her ongoing beef with Kody. Instead of helping to end the rift between father and son, she blames her ex-husband for expecting an apology from Gabe and Garrison in the August episode of “Sister Wives.”

“Kody still feels like boys need to talk to him or whatever, so we broke up,” Janelle said of her son in a conversation with ex-wife Christine Brown. The 54-year-old confirmed he will not be spending the holiday with his extended family at the home of Robyn Brown, Kody’s only remaining wife. In his words:

“Kody feels like they owe him and some kind of conversation and stuff for being disrespectful. I always said I chose my son before Kody. What am I going to do, go over to Robyn’s house and hang out with Robyn’s kids and Mary and Kody?”

Meanwhile, in his confession, Kody claimed he wanted to “clear the air” before the holidays. “If something political or something about COVID or my own experience with it comes up, and we end up turning into an angry conversation. That is a stupidity that I will not bring into my home for the holidays,” explained the patriarch.

Well, no matter what happens between Kody and her kids, Janelle’s mental health will remain in top shape thanks to her gym life. The mother of six declared 2023 to be her year of health last December by sharing a video of her exercise session.

The video, centered on his gym progress, includes scenes of him lifting weights at the fitness facility. “When do you decide it’s time…time to put your health first,” she writes throughout the clip. “Because this has been a game changer. I’m coming for you, 2023.”

The reality TV star echoed similar sentiments in the caption of the post, writing: “I’m ready for you, 2023! The health journey I have been on has been amazing. The results aren’t overnight, and I’m okay with that. It’s all about slow and steady winning the race. 2023 is my year!”

Janelle Brown Has No Regrets About Her Marriage To Kody Brown

Weeks before claiming exercise protects her sanity, Janelle revealed she has no regrets about her marriage to Kody. The Plexus Ambassador declared her relationship with the father of 18 wasn’t a mistake, and she doesn’t mind reliving the experience despite knowing their end.

Last month’s episode of the TLC series captured the TV personality’s emotional recollection of her romance with Kody. According to Janelle, she met the patriarch while he was dating his ex-wife, Meri Brown, and was instantly attracted to him as if she had been waiting for that moment.

“It’s like when you see someone you haven’t seen in a long time. There were all emotions like ‘Oh, here you are,’ you know that feeling, and I had that feeling as soon as I saw him walk in the room,” she recalled before noting that Kody would playfully suggest she join his family, narrative which he also supports.

Eventually, the former couple tied the knot spiritually, with Janelle becoming Kody’s second wife. Now, at the end of her marriage, the mother of six admits she never imagined their love would reach its limit. He said in a hoarse voice:

“I know I didn’t make a mistake marrying him. I would do it again. I don’t think things like this have an expiration date, but it looks like our relationship might have an expiration date.”
