On Sunday’s episode of the TLC reality TV series, Kody visited Janelle’s new apartment in another attempt to get closer to his ex-wife. The patriarchal polygamous lifestyle began with four wives, Christine, Janelle, Meri, and Robyn; however, he is now left with Robyn after breaking up with three other women.
Although the TV personality doesn’t seem interested in rekindling her romance with her two ex-partners, the 54-year-old is actively trying to win Janelle’s heart. Unfortunately, his efforts did not yield the desired results.

During his visit to his ex-wife’s apartment, the father of 18 admitted he would not have a place in the house, saying: “I’m not welcome here, I don’t think. That’s why it’s so awkward.” In the episode’s confessional, the polygamist explained his stinging words stemmed from his repeated failed attempts to reconnect with Janelle.
According to Kody, the mother of her six children is not interested in establishing a relationship with her partner Robyn and Meri. The 54-year-old admitted he was disappointed by Janelle’s indifference but insisted he was willing to continue pursuing his ex-wife. In the words of the reality TV star:
“It’s sad, but it doesn’t hurt. I can’t put the pieces of the puzzle together, but I’ll ask him again next week if we can make up. And it hurts every time. Maybe I should be more serious about it, but every time, it’s like, ‘No.’”
Kody added that he wasn’t sure if he felt “embarrassed” about the situation because of Janelle’s rejection or because part of him was “kind of happy” that it wasn’t a failed reconciliation between the two of them. “I don’t know how to define the relationship, but I feel sad that he usually rejects me,” admitted the 54-year-old man.
Instead, Janelle voiced her suspicions about Kody’s attempted reconciliation. According to the mother of six, she does not believe her ex-husband’s actions are genuine but his way of making his polygamous life “run smoothly”. The real estate agent said:
“When the reality is he never came to me and said, ‘Hey, I love you, I miss you. I want to get this back together.’ Often, don’t you want to gather your family again so that your life goes smoothly again? And I’m done with that. I really.”
This isn’t the first time Janelle has voiced her disinterest in Kody’s advances. Last month, the patriarch tried to rekindle their romance by taking his ex-wife on a romantic dinner date for her birthday. Unfortunately, the night ended badly when the 54-year-old tried and failed to get a kiss goodnight.
The rejection shocked Kody, who responded, “I don’t know why we can’t make up. So we fight bad, we are worse. So we broke up, we had another breakup.” However, Janelle responded: “You know, there’s nothing else there. Just not there. Our relationship has unraveled over the years.”

Weeks before revealing his determination to continue pursuing Janelle, Kody accused his ex-partner, Christine, of undermining his reconciliation efforts. During an episode of “Sister Wives” in October, the patriarch opened up about his difficult relationship with his ex-wife.
Despite describing his only wife, Robyn, as the love of his life, the reality TV star insists he wants to reunite with Janelle. Although the pair remain friendly with each other and speak regularly on the phone, the entertainer believes his chances of reconciling with his ex-partner require Christine to be out of the picture.
“Christine has so much influence on Janelle, I think it’s sad,” claimed the father of the 18-year-old. Surprisingly, Kody refused to share his concerns with Janelle, stating that he was “scared Christine would find out or if the kids would find out.” The 54-year-old added, “It’s like, I don’t want to talk about me.”
Additionally, the “Sister Wives” star expressed confusion over Janelle’s refusal to reconcile with him after years of embracing the polygamous union that spawned their hit TLC series. Janelle entered spiritual marriage with Kody on January 20, 1993, becoming his second wife at the time.
