Meri Brown gave the ultimate hair goals in a new media upload, and it looks like it’s just the dramatic change she needed.
Months after confirming that she and her polygamous ex-husband, Kody Brown, have “permanently ended” their marriage, the longtime “Sister Wives” actress couple is starting a new chapter in her life. Since the separation, Meri has easily modified her soul and outward appearance. The TV star just debuted a new hairstyle earlier this week.
Met Brown Shows Off His Newly Dyed Hairstyle
The TLC star is a new woman and is more than happy to share the freshness on Instagram. She posted a rather extreme close-up of her “stuttering” hair transformation with her 843,000 followers. The image features Meri’s face, navy blue eyes and a beautiful hairstyle with added color.
The 52-year-old wore a green T-shirt and matching cardigan as he stared into the camera. Meanwhile, her face was dressed in skin-like makeup with smokey eyeshadow and nude lips.
Her bob hairstyle, complete with long red streaks, is the main attraction in the picture. Her dusty highlighted brown hair was parted on her right and curled on her left to fall over her shoulders. In the combined caption, Meri stated that this fresh look is tied to her new life. In his words:
“Definition of brave: Brave and determined. Definition of Fiesty: Cheerful, determined and bold. Just add some red to match the definition. I certainly don’t hate it. New hair for a new life.”

The TLC personality then marshalled her followers’ opinions when she asked, “What do you think, should I keep it?” Several of her social media followers took to the comments section to praise the hairstyle, with one fan writing, “Best hair data yet ❤️. Definitely keep it, looks great on you!”
Another shared that she looked “amazing,” while a third fan wrote, “Looks beautiful on you. Makes your eyes pop.” While many fans praised her new look, others were less than impressed, accusing Meri of using some special effects as a finishing touch.
“The filter works well,” said one, while another quipped: “Nobody’s skin looks perfect and their eyes aren’t that blue.” Others sarcastically wrote: “Filter City, Population: YOU.”
As the mother-of-one doesn’t try to pretend that her looks are relevant to her new life, it’s reminiscent of when she and Kody officially called it quits in January after more than a decade together.
At the time, The Blast reported the couple was forced to address their split through a joint Instagram statement following an unauthorized press release by PEOPLE Magazine. The two revealed that they are “committed” to resolving family issues that arose in the family before and after their separation.
The statement read: “After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have decided to permanently end our marriage.”
The post also hinted that the breakup was mutual and that there were plans to resolve the issues weighing on their polygamous family. They added:
“During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect to each other and to all our family members, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships in the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace. , and love.”
When Meri shared the post on her page, she told fans she didn’t want any “congratulations” and asked them to leave thoughtful comments.
Meri Brown Clears the Air About Her Sexuality
Two months after Meri ended her “spiritual union” with Kody, she returned to the internet to set the record straight about her sexuality. The TV star has addressed rumors that have been circulating about him being involved with a female friend because of pictures he posted on social media of himself and his friends.
“It’s a regular topic of conversation whether I’m going out or not,” he said. “I came out as a straight man! So, there it is.” The doting mother also insists that the rumormongers will continue to incite such statements regardless of who she features in her photos. He explained:
“People can’t think that I can be friends, platonic friends with girls or boys!”
During the Instagram live session, Meri mentioned that she is not against the way other people live their lives but already has her preferences. “It’s not a bad thing to be. Whatever you want to be whoever you are. It’s not a big deal. I only know what I like,” explained Meri.
