Key West police received a complaint on Halloween “about a white male in a banana costume” urinating on the side of a building — near a row of portable toilets, according to The Smoking Gun.
Police arriving at the scene found 20-year-old Kyle Mortimer “peeing on the sidewalk,” according to a police report obtained by the store.
The University of Miami student dodged and tried to give the officer a slip by “zig-zagging” as he made his way onto Duval Street, police said.

A policeman grabbed his banana but he managed to split it open before another officer used a leg sweep to knock him to the ground, according to the report.
Mortimer “entwined his fingers and held him tight” in an attempt to prevent the police from handcuffing him, but he was eventually arrested in front of the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon.
He was photographed still wearing a yellow costume.
The banana head was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, and was released on bond pending a Nov. 16 hearing.
