Smiling Hunter Biden dines with Jill, dad’s campaign co-chair Jeffrey Katzenberg hours after agreeing to deposition date

Someone is in a good mood.

Hunter Biden was grinning from ear to ear Thursday night as he joined first lady Jill Biden and her father’s campaign co-chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg for dinner at celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif.

His eldest son, 53, didn’t have a care in the world hours after he finally agreed to sit out the Republican impeachment inquiry into President Biden after months of resistance.

Katzenberg, the former Disney chairman and former CEO of Dreamworks Animation, had just returned from sub-zero Iowa, where he touted Joe Biden’s campaign to focus his counter-message on the Republican contest — bragging to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that “on fundraising side, Joe Biden is playing around.”

Last year, the 73-year-old Katzenberg and his wife donated more than $1.7 million to the joint fundraising committee of the Biden Victory Fund.

The first lady, Hunter’s stepmother, joined the family dinner after appearing at a fundraiser Thursday afternoon in the northern California city of Healdsburg.

The Secret Service and police lined the street outside a beachfront Italian restaurant while family, including Hunter’s wife Melissa Cohen and young son Beau, ate inside.

Hunter has had another tough week after his father’s Department of Justice finally confirmed that his infamous “laptop from hell” is real and matches iCloud backups — and not a “Russian factory” as his father told voters during the 2020 election.

Prosecutors also disclosed in Delaware court filings Tuesday that cocaine was found on Hunter’s gun holster in 2018 — which authorities say proves he was guilty of a felony for buying and possessing a gun while addicted to drugs.

Hunter is facing federal charges on both coasts and appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom last week to plead not guilty to tax charges after allegedly failing to pay at least $1.4 million between 2016 and 2019.

The trial in the case is scheduled to begin on June 20, right in the middle of Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.

The first son abandoned a plea deal only on trial in July over a lawsuit seeking assurances that he has broad immunity from liability for past conduct, including alleged violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which could implicate his father.

House Republicans have gathered evidence that Joe Biden, as vice president, interacted with foreign friends of Hunter and first brother James Biden – including those from China, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Russia and Ukraine – and accused the Biden family of not offering significant business services. apart from access to their powerful relatives.
