Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, updated fans on her health day after she suffered a severe stroke due to her lupus.

The 24-year-old had a major health scare a few days ago when she found herself hospitalized. Now, Cori is in good spirits and letting fans in on the process.

In an Instagram Story update, Cori shared the positive news with her 659,000 followers. She uploaded a selfie in the shower showing herself looking healthy and cheerful while wearing her hospital gown and giving the camera a thumbs up.

“God is working overtime you hear me! My kidneys are bad…the doctor came this morning and said they are getting better ?,” he wrote. In a follow-up post, the Instagram personality posed with her niece and nephew while in a hospital bed.

Remember that on January 18, Cori surprised fans with the news of her health scare and emergency hospitalization through her Instagram Story. She shared a quote from her hospital bed alongside the heartbreaking announcement: “I had a massive stroke and I started crying when they told me.”

In the next slide, the “Daddy’s Girl” singer laments her predicament, writing, “Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to accept all this,” alongside a selfie of herself in a pink hoodie and nose mask.

Cori has been diagnosed with lupus since she was six years old and her battle with the autoimmune disease has led to several hospital incidents. In 2021, the daughter of the famous rapper attempted suicide which she revealed in an emotional Instagram post.

“The last few weeks, mentally I haven’t been great. At one point, I tried to end my life, but you & my family really gave me a purpose to live & helped me realize life is more than materialistic & you have to keep going through the crap. THANK YOU.”

A few months before her emergency hospitalization, Cori, during an interview with People Magazine, revealed that she abandoned her medication for a holistic approach. “I stopped taking all my medicine like five months ago. I just do everything naturally, all kinds of herbs, seaweed, tea,” he said.

Cori continued, “I started exercising, drinking a lot of water. So now I feel like my body is like, okay, this is a new program, and she’s getting used to it,” explaining that she made the transition after a long period of medication left her “feeling like I’m going crazy”.

In his words: “I’ve been on medication since I was 6 years old, dependent on these medications my whole life. So I want something better for myself. I want to change because it’s just been a lot. I’m only 24 years, taking 10 to 12 pills every day. So I’m pretty cold turkey.”

Despite making progress with her holistic treatment, Cori explained that she needed to adopt more lifestyle changes to improve her health. “It’s a constant learning process because there’s so much more I can do,” he said.

Last February, Snoop Dogg’s daughter shared her kidney biopsy results with fans. Cori explained that her kidneys are at a 3 out of 5, with five being the worst and three being considered mild but still active.

Stage 3 is a better option than stage 4, which means Cori needs chemotherapy. However, doctors are considering putting him on Benlysta, a treatment option given via monthly injections or weekly injections.

The television personality stated that doctors are treating her “aggressively” for her safety because her kidneys were once stage 4. She also stated that her current stage is reversible and insisted her kidneys are fine despite being “inflamed.”
