Vergara’s son is an additional protected person in the case. The person also must not “Harass, intimidate, molest, attack, assault, stalk, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), beat abuse, destroy personal property or disturb the peace of the person.”

He was not allowed to contact Vergara and his family by any means or take any action to obtain the location of the actress and her son.

The Blast announced that the Colombian actress was granted a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) a few days ago when she revealed the intimidation she suffered at the hands of this person.

In her filing, the actress claimed the stalker was a “violent criminal, on parole in connection with stalking (Vergara), convicted of trespassing and vandalizing her home.” She claims that in July the person broke into her property, sought access to her and shouted harassing messages.

Most recently, in Nov 2023, he sent harassing letters to her home. Vergara claims the stranger who “was a mentally unstable stalker, with a long-term fixation” on her “always believed he personally knew her and had a romantic and familial relationship with her and her son, whom she did not know.”

Court documents state that the stalker has repeatedly asserted that Vergara “belongs” to him, causing him to engage in “stalking and attempted personal contact (Sofia) that is unwanted and unsolicited), seeking access to her and her child.”

Despite being released on parole, the man was rearrested for subsequent crimes, and was eventually “released on or about July 1, 2023.”

Vergara, who declared the stalker scared him, told the court, that he “many times tried to have a personal relationship with me and insert himself into my personal and private life. He has engaged in stalking and harassment aimed at me, which is very worrying , annoys and disturbs me. As a result of his conduct directed at me, including, as referred to below, I fear (him) for my own safety and that of those around me.”

The ‘Modern Family’ Star Is Almost Ending Divorce Proceedings

Vergara’s arrest warrant came as her divorce from ex-husband Joe Manganiello was finalized.

Last month, we reported that the mother of one and the “Magic Mike” star were close to finalizing their divorce after Vergara filed a disclosure declaration, telling the court she had turned over all her financial information to Manganiello.

Usually in celebrity divorce cases, this is the last filing before a settlement is reached, and the parties separate. As you can imagine, having all the financial information is key for both parties to know what a settlement or spousal support will look like in a case.

In the case of Vergara and Manganiello, they had a meticulous prenuptial agreement, meaning there was a clear outline of how their assets and finances would be divided.

The former couple announced their separation after seven years of marriage in July.
