Singer Britney Spears and her husband, Iranian actor Sam Asghari, made headlines on Thursday when multiple sources reported that the 28-year-old actor had planned an intervention for his wife.
The 41-year-old pop star took to Instagram later that night to say “enough is enough” and told her followers that she may be leaving social media for a while until the situation subsides. However, some new reports emerged on Friday morning claiming that intervention may still be necessary.

On Thursday morning, TMZ was the first to report news that Britney’s husband, Sam Asghari, was planning an intervention for the “Hold Me Closer” singer. Her manager has reportedly rented a house in the Los Angeles area where she will undergo medical treatment and counseling.
Although the intervention was supposed to take place on Tuesday, things went awry when Britney became “a little self-conscious” about the plan. Britney went to see her own doctor, who was reportedly “going well,” but apparently the intervention didn’t work.

Sam Asghari did not deny that there are plans to intervene in a statement made to Access Hollywood. However, he made it clear that “creation does not happen.”
“My wife is in complete control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of the circumstances,” he said, adding, “Speculation about her health is unwarranted and must stop immediately.”

Although Sam called for the speculation to end, multiple sources have come forward with claims that Britney has “become increasingly erratic and erratic,” which they claim is “a result of her mental illness and substance abuse.”
Several insiders spoke to TMZ on Friday morning, claiming that “There is anger among those who believe intervention is necessary.” A source reportedly said that “The intervention is long overdue,” adding that Britney “is extremely dangerous to herself and the people around her. It’s a ticking time bomb. Thank God someone is finally taking some steps to do something about it.”

“This is 2008 all over again. There was a serious fear that he would either die or kill someone. He abuses caffeine, Adderall, and anything else he can get his hands on,” another insider claimed. “He was not taking his medication, which was important to stabilize his mood, and was unconsciously trying to self-medicate with other substances, which made his mental illness worse.”
“I’m worried about waking up in the morning and feeling like I’m going to get a horrible phone call,” claims a third source. Another insider told the outlet, “She’s been through unbelievable trauma that can’t be treated with the help of therapists and experts can put her in a better place. An intervention is essential to make that happen.”
