South Charm’s Kathryn Dennis has lost what seems like a never-ending battle for custody of her children to Thomas Ravenel.

The reality TV star has been going back and forth with Ravenel for several years in court. She wants custody of her children Kensington “Kensie” Calhoun Ravenel, 9, and St. Julien “Saint” Rembert Ravenel, 7.
Their father confirmed All About Tea that he has been awarded full custody of the children. “I have been granted sole custody.” It means “I make all the parenting decisions.” For their mother,
“Kathryn [Dennis] have the right to visits supervised by an approved supervisor [approved by the court] between 9:00 am — 7:00 pm, every other weekend.”

Wow, rude. Ravenel provides more details. “He is not allowed to spend the night with the children. I’ll take the kids to the midpoint between Aiken and Charleston, where Kathryn will pick them up.”
Kathryn initially lost custody of her children in 2016 after testing positive for drugs. He tried to regain control two years later, taking advantage of Ravenel’s then nanny, Dawn Ledwell, who accused him of assault.

By 2019, Dennis had lost to Ravenel in court again when she retained full legal custody, and Dennis had been relegated to scheduled visitation and ordered to hire a full-time nanny for their children.
In 2020, Ravenel accused Dennis of abusing drugs again and being careless around the children. This was when Dennis was relegated again to supervisory visits every other weekend.
This latest victory in court led to this. Ravenel can now make all the decisions about the kids without Dennis’ say. This includes “education, religious training, health care, extracurricular activities and travel.”
Ravenel was glad to be done with all the custody drama. “I am very grateful for the outcome of this custody battle and for being given sole custody of my children,” he told the blog. “Family is the most important thing in my life, and I will do everything to ensure that my children have a happy and stable future.”
Ravenel acknowledged how complicated the process was. “This has been a challenging journey, but with the support of my loved ones and the legal team, justice is served.”

Dennis has now commented on the difficult decision made by the court, but followers are aware that Dennis has problems with his children being found roaming the streets. In one incident in 2020, his four-year-old son Saint later had to be taken home twice by strangers.
The first time he left home, a neighbor took him home. A few hours later, he was found again, and a bystander called the police. Now that Dennis has lost the children in this long battle, he is willing to pay a court-ordered supervisor $35+ per hour to attend his supervised visits with Kersie and Saint.
