Wrapped Spotify Officially ‘Opens’ For 2022!
Spotify Wrapped has been one of the most anticipated events in music in recent years. His influence has also greatly impacted the music industry as well; the platform released a summary of its biggest achievements in 2022 on Wednesday.
According to the platform’s press release, Bad Bunny achieved the award for the most streamed artist globally for the second year in a row.
Under Bad Bunny comes one of the biggest pop stars of the year, Ms. Taylor Swift, whose tenth album broke the streaming service’s record within 24 hours of its October release.
Swift is also the most streamed artist in the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Philippines, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore and Slovenia!
Drake slipped just below Swift in third place; earlier this month, we speculated if Drake was overshadowing Swift on social media earlier this month because she occupied the top slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Drake claimed seven of the top ten slots at the time!

BTS came in like ‘dynamite’; the K-pop group, currently on hiatus, took fifth place.
Harry Styles’ blockbuster hit “As It Was,” from his third solo album “Harry’s House,” achieved recognition for biggest streamed song globally.
Glass Animals’ “Hot Wave,” which experienced some success on TikTok earlier this year, became the second most-streamed song globally for the year.

There’s no doubt there are a number of Spotify subscribers out there who agree with the rejection of Swift’s global smash “Anti Hero” when it comes to their listening habits!
