Details of Tupac Shakur’s murder have just been released by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, including video of the event, and still images of the man accused of killing him.
According to investigators, Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been charged with one count of murder for killing the rapper. The charge will carry “gang enhancement” because of his involvement in the Crips street gang. Prosecutors allege beef between the Compton Bloods and Crips was the cause of the fatal incident.

Officials revealed they were “reinvigorated” by the case after Davis himself spoke to the media about the murder, and wrote a book.
A video was included in the presentation by investigators that included an overview of the incident and the fatal homicide.

The suspect is currently in LVMPD custody and will have a court hearing in the next few days. He was arrested early this morning after a grand jury indicted him on murder charges.
Tupac Shakur Was 25 Years Old When He Was Shot and Killed

On September 29, the BBC was among the first to report that a man had been arrested in connection with Tupac’s murder, which took place in 1996. He was only 25 years old when he died.
The hip-hop legend was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, though no one ever came forward to confess to the crime. He was sitting in his car waiting at a red light when the incident happened.
That all changed when Las Vegas police arrested a man more than three decades after his death in September 2023. There have been many documentaries about his death, but also many conspiracy theories as well.
Some Still Believe Tupac Faked His Own Death

The lack of details in the fatal murder has prompted many conspiracy theories about his death. Some reports state that the more prevalent theory is that Tupac faked his death after struggling to cope with the challenges associated with his newfound fame.
Throughout the year, video clips have surfaced online, all claiming to hold evidence of the rapper’s sighting. From Cuba to New Mexico to Malaysia, some fans are convinced that Tupac is alive and well and just hiding under a new alias.
One conspiracy is that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is behind Tupac’s death, which is why it took so long to find the killer. The theory posits that the FBI was trying to put an end to “violent rap culture” by getting Tupac out of the picture, but no evidence has ever been presented to suggest that the FBI was involved in Tupac’s murder.
His death was also studied by some numerologists who could not help but notice how the number seven occurred in his death several times. For example, he was shot on September 7. He also died at age 25 and 2 + 5 = 7. His time of death was 4:03 and 4 + 0 + 3 = 7. His birthday was also June 16 and 1 + 6 = 7. It’s not clear what all the connections mean if it means anything, but fans are busy trying to find any possible evidence that the hip-hop legend is still alive and it looks like they’ll keep looking as law enforcement officials move forward with their investigation.
