“Squad” member and US Representative Cori Bush could lose big in this summer’s Democratic primary, according to a new poll.
A new poll by GOP firm Remington Research finds Bush, (D-Missouri), trailing Wesley Bell by 22 points in the Aug. 6 contest.
“It’s a huge red flag for the far-left Squad lawmakers,” Josh Kraushar, editor-in-chief of the Jewish Insider, posted on X. “This data is yet another example of why left-wing radicalism against Israel in the Dem party is a counterproductive strategy for Biden.”
Although the survey was a small sample size with only 401 voters, the results were striking.
In a poll conducted last week, 50 percent of those polled said they favored Bell, a former prosecutor, with only 28 percent saying yes to Bush. The margin of error is 4.9%.
Bush has been one of the sharpest critics of the Israeli government in Congress and a vocal advocate for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.
His criticism of Israel in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attack, which killed at least 1,200 people, has made him a lightning rod and highlighted the gulf that divides Democrats over how to respond to the Israel-Hamas war.

The winner of the Democratic primary will be the favorite to win the general election in November because the district is solidly Democratic and about 50% African American.
It includes all of St. Louis, most of the northern St. Louis County and the western part of St. Louis County.
