Actor Mark Hamill has good reason to celebrate this Sunday, as today is his 72nd birthday!
The actor best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, starting with 1977’s “A New Hope”, was born on September 25, 1951, in Oakland, California, meaning he turned 72 on Sunday!
Both Star Wars fans, costars, and famous friends all took to social media to wish him a happy birthday!

Witwer first provided his voice and appearance for Starkiller in the video game series “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed”. He later voiced Darth Maul in the animated series “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels” as well as 2018’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” He also voiced the Child in “The Clone Wars” and Emperor Palpatine in “Rebels.”

Peter played Chewbacca from 1977 until “The Force Awakens” in 2015, when he retired from the role. He sadly passed away in Texas in April 2019.
